Al Frankin
was great last night on Letterman. He brought up bushes* cocaine felony. He mentioned he had once met bush* at a dinner and bush had winked at him. He said he had asked bush* although you say you never did cocaine, have you ever manufactured crystal meth., which drew a huge roar from the audience. He also mocked Bill O Reilly as a bully and loudmouth. David Letterman is a very popular show and watched by alot of people.Al's book is number one on New York Times best seller list. David placed Al's book on his desk with bush*'s picture on front cover. This show will open alot of eyes.

1. Let's hope so
I hope Al's book keeps selling strong. It's great so far (haven't had time to finish it yet!)

(It's Franken, with an 'e', by the way)

Does anyone have a transcript of Al on Letterman, or a little video clip of it? I wish all of these shows would repeat the following day like Conan does...

3. I read Franken's book this weekend.
Very funny and informative. I think he actually did a much bigger job exposing Hannity and the Martian, than O'Reilly. Sean is a super whore.

15. hahaha--Lowery???
Good god that little tight assed clown would be the first to wave his hanky and surrender if someone tried to fight him. Big brave man--like so many of those fools.

9. Yup
I can't say I ever found Frankin too funny, but anyone who so infuriates people I consider assholes is OK in my book.

11. i got the book as a birthday gift!
kind of takes the burden off of being one year older...it's a great, great book.
and of course, the chapter on wellstone reminded me of many things i had blocked out of my memory of that time. impossibly said, and the behavior of the right was absolutely outrageous. their spin machine was whirling at top speed as mourners were pulling out of the Williams Arena parking lots.
i was there for the whole thing....and i was totally enraged by what I heard. it was absolutely stunning.

anyway, if you want to get pissed off enough to DO SOMETHING in next year's elections, read this book.

on a possibly related note, MPR had a speaker this morning from ...Claremont College(?) who wrote "The Art of Political Warfare," which sounds like an interesting read.....one of his points is that the Republicans see the 2004 election as an opportunity to PERMANENTLY seize power and leave the Democrats a permanently minority voice. Heaven help us.

I heard Letterman say, will bush* make good president, or be the biggest dork of all time. What a prophecy by David.

19. Every time Letterman said the book's title
The audience tittered. Franken's imitation of O'Reilly bellowing "Shut up!" nearly had me rolling.
