Martial Law Declared in Iraq?!?!
Does this mean we've abandoned the pretense that Iraqis have been living under something else for the previous 599 days???

1. America's bringing freedom and democracy to Iraq. Maybe Bush will give us
martial law in the US too just so he won't look like a great big hypocrite.

2. Oh, but it is "temporary"
Not to be a nitpicker, but what is the difference in Iraq between martial law and whatever the hell it was before they were operating under marital law?

5. Yes, with the election over no need anymore for pretenses
They are just going to go in an level cities and kill all males under 45 starting with Fallujah. If some women or children get in the way that is their problem.

Meanwhile, the same people who voted for * on "moral" grounds will be whooping and hollering for more.
