Until the electors meet, they can be taken back.

People NEED to understand this, because this is what this BBV comes down to.

49. Not only "not legally binding"...
...but altogether meaningless.

If a candidate has 270 electoral votes, it doesn't matter whether he or she has conceded. They become president, even if they fail to retract their concession.

It's a political courtesy, and nothing but.

I want it to be true as badly as anyone else and will scream the word to heaven itself if there's a very good chance it's true.

But I have to know how they came to this notion.

Did they get a final analysis?

26. We won ! Kerry Won !

I love this post!

It is so positive and bats down all the gloom and doom at DU.

Kerry gave his all for this election and I am grateful!

It is not up to him right now, it's up to us.

He ran the race now it is up to us to pick up the stick and go!

For those of you that don't believe that WE WON, that's too bad.

I refuse to let the Media and Karl Rove tap into my brain. I absolutely refuse. This country is too important to just sit around and bitch about what happened. The only remedy is to DO something positive.

This is positive! WE WON!!!

25. I am totally there.
I sense the masses are beginning to stir, too. Bush and the RNC put a full scale media blitz on to legitimize the election, but it's not sticking particularly well. I believe if Kerry is building his case, he will be back and we may even see the most united Democratic offensive in a long, long time. Has anyone else noticed how uniformly quiet the Democratic leadership has been? Could they also be building an international coalition to convince George? Maybe some other stuff that's been saved to convince Dimson that it is in everyone's best interests that he accept the evidence of widescale voter fraud and it might be best that he resign instead of being impeached and tried for crimes against the country?

Kerry would be one to pull it off.....

47. Kerry's has a federal prosecuter background. He knows investigation
techniques and how to build a complex case. I don't believe he was totally in the dark about E-vote voting problems, either. I do think Kerry wanted to win this without having to go this route, but he didn't shy away from bullets and rockets zinging at him in VietNam, I doubt Karl Rove scare's him a lot. He understands that this country is at a crossroads and he is the right person to rise to the occaision.

He knows what he was up against and I think he had a plan to deal with this contingency. Who really knows how much evidence and intel was being gathered before and during the election? What I would expect, is he would build his case quietly and methodically...and when he finally rolls it out, it's going to be damn compelling and legally bulletproof. I think he will have the proof and the facts on his side. If he can show he took both the EC and PV.....I think it's game over for Bush. Poppy and Barb might even have to have a talk with him.

56. Hope they don't steal votes from you...

That is why the idea behind the WE WON! is so great.

We are not doing this just to say Kerry won.
Let's get real, we are under a Nazi government and they are probably not going to let Kerry win even if HE WON!

But what we must be fighting for is people like you that want to run in the future. We are fighting like hell that your grandchildren can run for election or be anything they want to be.

So let's all crawl out from under all the negatives and be positive again.

Staying positive, upbeat and strong are the only messages we must send to these criminals.

44. It does not depend on concession or not
The Electorial College is to take into consideration the official tallies of each state on Dec. 12. Of course unfortunately the Electorial College can do what it pleases, given EC is closely related to Congressional Representatives, guess what.
The most important, real, usefull, democratic, etc. AMENDMENT would be to get rid of the ELECTORIAL COLLEGE!
Start getting to work on all of the House and 1/3 of the Senate in 2006, if it is not too late.

Edwards made me believe that they really are working on the fraud still.

"And as for voter fraud, we are still piecing together the same stuff you are piecing together. I know that the two candidates had been assured that everything was in place -- and there was certainly a lot of visibility. I can't yet blame the people in the field who I believe were working hard to stop the election from being stolen. I don't think -- even in our frustration (and no one is more frustrated than we are) -- that we can say "the Democratic leaders did NOTHING to prevent the election being stolen." "
