...just had a big argument. It's my contention that, if we aren't careful, GW Bush will win by a landslide bigger than Reagan II. She asked what ablot the loss of life in Iraq, Constitutional viloations, unemployment, the economy, the defecit? I reply all of that will be blamed on conditions inherited from Bill Clinton."It's not his fault," she screams. I say I agree, but the average Joe/Jane only knows what he/she hears on Faux and the other news channels... a portrait of a handome man, smooth talker, who stopped terrorism and looks good in a flight suit. "Shut up," she screams, "I don't wnat to hear it!" And with that she stomps out of the room.
People.. we have to hear this, and take steps to see that it doesn't happen. If it does, then forums such as this will be gone.. aas well as any remnants of freedom we have left. Hear It. Believe It. Fight It.

2. Perhaps overly pessimistic |

I mean we are more than a year away from the election. Of coures there's not a huge voice out there--in fact I'd bet that we, as a nation, would be a bit ahead of the curve as far as people paying attention. Bryant Check it out --> http://politicalcomment.blogspot.com

politics can wait a while. Since you're on the same side, sounds like compromise might be easy. Hell, compromise could be passionate.

the depths a President can sink to. Is he really that bad? Yes. Will voters realize that by 11/04? Hard to say.

9. Clinton can't be blamed for the deficits. |
|
He left office with surpluses set up as far as the eye could see. Bush made a show of derailing them. He is cooked meat as far as the deficits, at least are concerned.
He's far from invulnerable. People can only take so much lying and incompetence before they hit the eject seat button.
