KNBC, Channel 4 in LA is reporting that hordes of people from the middle east are pretending to be Mexican and crossing the border Illegally from Mexico into California and Arizona.
So far, no proof they are terrorists but officials are not sure who or what they are.
So, what was that about Bush making us safer?

they haven't yet nor will they. I would suggest that you stop listening to those who say Canada is a haven given that all of the 9/11 terrorists entered the US legally under your OWN laws.

This is a little story I've seen circulating through email among right wingers lately.
Without a link I can give it no credibility. I'm here in TX, you'd think they'd come through here too.

I suspect they'll raise the alert level to Orange, to reflect the concern from this story. Perhaps if this screwed up administration had an immigration policy that was effective, this problem wouldn't occur.
But you know...."It's Hard Work."

.....just Bushmongering. Seriously, there was a story about a dozen or so ME terrorist types crossing the border, but I think it was debunked.

8. This same "horde" of terrorists was reported on its way. . . |
|
back abou two weeks or so before the election. At that time, they were coming in through the Arizona border. So I'm sorry, but absent a little more proof I don't believe I'm going to start hiding under the bed or changing my lifestyle -- despite BushCo's desire that I do just that!

A country at war that does not control its borders is just asking for enemy commandos to come on in.
Such is what theory says.
Strong theory IMHO.
That story in print may be BS, but it may parallel a reality that has not been written down, .. yet is happening right now.
You cannot discount such strong theory. One network years back said mexicans actually COMMUTE daily twice across a river border, wading it. Unstopped. Amazing.

This is just more diversion and fear-mongering aimed to divide the southwest. The Mexicans who came here legally or have been here for generations are tired of being treated like "wet backs" and have been known to be just as antagonistic towards illegals as any white person. Couple that with Catholic religious beliefs, and you've got a bunch of Bush voters.
The Bushies will do nothing about the borders because they're cheap labor conservatives and want those immigrants to come. They'll just cultivate more hate and divisiveness with this illegal immigrant - terrorist threat because that's their goal all along.
Every day this country gets scarier and scarier.

Just for this reason. LA news is junk and nothing more. It became worse after 1992 riots and now this. People wander why Arnold was elected Governor, this is the reason.

this is the first I've heard about it, and my husband is DHS, US Border Patrol. I can tell you this though, this is disinformation. There have been no heightened alerts. If there are, I will let you know.
I will add that there has been no new training, no new equipment, no new emergency evacuation plans, no new nothing. All the crap you heard from Bush re DHS was pure bullshit. Infact, since the agents couldn't wear Kerry buttons, I bought Heinz Pickle Pins from e-Bay, and they were wearing them proudly.
OOPS! Forgot, the supervisors did get brand new F250/4Wheel Drive trucks to drive around in with your tax payer money!!!!!

...now my wife (who is Latina but born in Minnesota) will start getting looked at as a terraist!
(Even though she was a U.S. citizen from birth, grew up in Colombia, and never set foot in Mexico, there were at least a couple of times in the mid-'80s when she had to deal with bureaucrats certain that she must be one of them Messican Illegals no matter how much documentation she produced.)
I mean, after all, Latino, Arab, what's the difference? Why, even the New York Times, during the conflict in El Salvador, breathlessly reported that they had found proof that Palestinian terrorists were training the Salvadorian leftist guerillas. Their proof? They visited a camp and found the fighters taking directions from a man named "Ali"...or, more specifically,"Ali Hondro"...
