3. To start:
You would be forced to attend church 4 times a week & for 4 hours on Sunday
All smocking and drinking would be completly banned
Your children would be reading the gospel first thing in the morning right after they say the pledge of alegence to George Bush. This is the public shools.
Wire Coat hangers would become a commodity (Abortion kits)
Anyone saying anything negative about the regime would be imprisioned with no legal counsel.

5. "Christian Values'
would rule. Roe v Wade gone and abortion criminalized, including the death sentence for doctors who perform abortions.
Prayer in schools. The dismantling of the public school system. No safety net for seniors or the most vulnerable amoung us. A constitutional amendment barring gay marriage, and one banning desecration of the flag. Xenophobia encoded into the law. The armed forces on the borders. Mass deportations.

7. The moral values crowd is not homogeneous.
Now that they've "won"--let them try to get along with each other.

The Catholic bishops & priests who ignored all other Church teachings to get on the anti-abortion bandwagon will be the first to go; for most of the "values" crowd, Catholics are not "Christian". Mormons & charismatics (many of whom are not really Fundamentalists) are also considered heretics. And the full-blown Christian Reconstructionalists regard just about everybody as Hell-bound--Methodists, Lutherans, etc.

Even the Southern Baptists might shrink from banning all Papist/Pagan holidays. Their big Houston churches always have spectacular Christmas pageants.

The Christian Reconstructionalists do have a definite blueprint for the future. Most of the "allies" won't want to go along with the whole thing.

15. 57 varieties
They're already fighting over the spoils, if one brand of fantasy land could dominate the others, then all we need to do is let them. Napoleon said " Never interupt your enemy when they are in the middle of a mistake".

I don't think they could unite in a single vision, and their vision would never suit the monied pukes, so the is another schism right there.

8. Kind of like "Pleasantville" in the black-and-white version.
Especially the part with the angry citizenry when faced with the choice of changing and improving their narrow way of life.

10. Could do away with the health care system entirely and the
insurance industry to boot. We'll just have public laying on of hands and prayers.

"Return of the Archons". Planet ? has a stiff, dogmatic and repressive society, where all the inhabitants worship an entity known as Landrieu. Failure to obey is punished, severely, often with death. It is the Will of Landrieu! The repression is relieved by a regular "festival" which entails riots, rapes, lootings, killings, unrestrained sex, and all sorts of dangerous anti-social behaviour, probably even including sodomy!

When Sulu is assimilated, Captain Kirk and the crew of the Enterprise put a stop to it.

16. Perhaps
it would be better to define "moral values." If our society was structured on moral values it would look like this:

*Universal health care for all; equal access, equal opportunity
*Universal preschool-trade/school college for all, resources provided to do a great job, all "accountability" issues decided at the local level.
*Teaching, both explicitly and by example, universal characteristics such as respect, empathy, cooperation, reflection, integrity, etc. would be just as important as phonics and times tables.
*A single income could support a family.
*Churches and faith organizations would not engage in politics
*Corporations would not own the airwaves or our politicians
*Elections would be regulated so that all candidates received equal funding, airtime, and print space in the media. We would be using IRV and proportional representation to unlock the two-party control system.
*All people would have access to clean, safe shelter, clothing, and food.
*A constitutional amendment guaranteeing the right to privacy.
*We would be accountable for our use/abuse of resources and the environment.
*Parents would not raise their kids in front of electronic babysitters.
*The right to choose would be based on responsible choices.
*A focus on cooperation would replace the insane American obsession with competition.
*We would organize our systems around “from each according to ability, to each according to needs."

Just my pov.
