1. About as well as taking Baghdad. |
|
They just don't get it. When 95% of the country hates you and wants you to leave, it doesn't matter how many people you kill. There will always be more to take up arms against you, and those that do will likely hate you even more.

2. You would think after November 2 the stupidity of the American people |
|
wouldn't surprise me. God! People actually think this is going to work? I saw a news report that there are 22 cities in Iraq that need to be taken over. It doesn't matter what happens here, things aren't going to change in that country!

3. Jamie McEntyre on CNN yesterday said... |
|
Edited on Mon Nov-08-04 11:38 AM by Flubadubya
that the Pentagon did not expect two things, 1) that they would "break the back" of the insurgency, or that 2) they would find Al Zawakari. He said the only mission they actually had was to rout the insurgents stronghold and turn the town back over to the people. He went on to say that insurgents had previously been routed from Samarra, but that they had returned.
So, How the hell can anyone expect this to "turn the tide" against the insurgency when even the Pentagon does not expect it or have it as a goal for invading Fallujah. Get in touch MSNBS!!!!

4. Sure ... as long as you believe ... |

that if you blow up a bank being robbed, you will reduce bank roberries nationwide.
When is Chimpy going to realize that his actions are strengthening their resolve. He needs to revisit this, since Bin Laden did the same thing to him.

9. i think most online polls are |

maybe the few times it might have mattered was right after the debates when a large audience was watching and the networks would read the results which could influence opinion.
but other than that i don't think it matters much.

6. Of course this will break the insurgency... |
|
and then what will follow is a great floral celebration, literally billions of flowers cast upon our glorious troops by the thankful people of Iraq, thankful of their destroyed lives, destroyed homes, and destroyed society. Of course it will happen like this, right?

7. i am bothered by the comment section |
|
it asks for everything but your SSN# with your comment.
I can see getting a call if i posted an extreme opinion. Rather than doing any journalistic research on the actual story, just set up conflicting opinions with stupid talking heads and call it a show.
It's like having people commenting on the people watching the shadows on the wall of the cave. What a nice distraction?

8. What would be the appropriate DU response to this poll? |
|
I guess we are supposed to vote no and hope this shitstorm continues?
Is that the point?
It's funny how we wonder why people think we are against the troops, and then people post shit like this.
I'll DU it, and I'll vote yes.

13. The poll doesn't ask what you hope will happen... |
|
it asks what you think will happen.   I wish this war would end immediately; I expect it to continue for at least 4 more years.
