Poll question: Which Quote Will Do Bush The Most Damage in 2004?
Which of our favorite 2000-2003 soundbites will cause Bush the most harm during his re-selection bid?

1. The commercial using "Bring it on" writes itself
ALl you have to do is show footage of the quote, than white letters on black background a tally of how many have died and how many have been wounded since he said it.

I would do just that--minimalist like.

24. The Little Dictator
"If this were a dictatorship, it'd be a heck of a lot easier--just as long as I'm the dictator."

George W. Bush
December 18, 2000
Comment made during first trip to Washington, D.C. after winning the presidency

Apparently referring to members of his cabinet

3. "Lucky me, I hit the trifecta"
If the DEMS don't use this to point out how he turned the suffering of Americans into a joke, they are not very bright.

5. It would have to be an Osama "two-fer":
"The most important thing is for us to find Osama bin Laden. It is our number one priority and we will not rest until we find him."
- G.W. Bush, 9/13/01

AND...

"I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority."
- G.W. Bush, 3/13/02

6. "No need for evidence, we know he's guilty"

Actually, that's not the one that will do him the most damage.

It is the one that killed America. Not because he said it, but because he said it, was applauded by the American people, and is still at large.

If you are thinking that I have made a good argument that in that case, America was already dead, you have a good point.

7. Mission Accomplished
Few Americans care for 37,000 Iraqi civilian deaths, but a lot care for a few hundred American military deaths.

10. I vote for a combination
A one-two punch of "Bring 'em On" and "Mission accomplished", followed by maybe an uppercut with the lies about nuclear weapons. It could KO him

12. And add to that
The fact that he went to Camp David each weekend of the war, and then took his monthlong vacation this August. Bush is one sick asshole.

Bring em on?

Yeah, right, like you would be in any danger.

Are American deaths funny to you, Mr. Bush?

18. John Kerry agrees with DU:
From today's announcement speech:

"Being flown to an aircraft carrier and saying “mission accomplished” doesn’t end a war. And the swagger of a President saying “bring ‘em on” will never bring peace."

There in one paragraph he cites the 2 dumbest things Bush has said to date.

If I were his opponent, I would ask him to name three things he has done in office that he would consider "compassionate." It would expose him for the fraud that he is.
