Don't know anymore...The silence is deafening !

Are you bright young ladies ready to put your pearls and high heels on and vacuum while you send the Beav off to school and do you young men feel like wearing a hat and put on a skinny tie and say I will look the other way as bogotry runs amuck? It isn't even about the color of one's skin anymore. Its about class warfare and dissing all of those who are against gun shows with loophole protections. Its about Gays, Guns, and their idea of God. Are you ready to do this thing that is upon us? Martial law declared in Iraq. How long before it is declared here? Are you thinking of joining the establishment of fundies? Sipping the koolaid?

I am now questioning..Where are the leaders? What is going on ?
I have been hopeful and upbeat and still think something may be afoot but today I am more than curious. I am bewildered. The silence is deafening !

1. Agreed.
The silence is deafening. I hope they're pulling something together to throw all these e-vote disasters and disinfo campaigns back into Bush's face. On the other hand, they may be too embarassed and afraid of being called sore losers.

I don't know what to make of this.

3. Why are you looking for someone to do something. What's wrong with
you? Pissed? Good, use that anger to work to stop this regime. Depressed, start doing something positive to help pull you out of that depression. Don't expect some non-existent person to make it all better. That is the job of each and everyone of us.

6. I don't ask anyone to do anything for me...I can't get in touch with
anyone and have gotten some email that more than disturbs me and I don't want to share it. I did not say give up hope. I said I am confused. I know we have no certifications yet. I know George bush declared victory before people stopped voting. I know there was Voter Fraud and Bev will prove it. I know we are inpatient while the gloating is going on, I just need some confirmation to make sure I am not duped. I need it badly ! If I get something I am looking for in the next day or two I will post it but I need as you need.
I never claimed to have the answers. I never said I was going to start a revolt. I said, Lets have patience. The SILENCE IS WHAT IS GETTING TO ME. Somebody from the Leadership needs to appear and I don't mean pundits. Even if it is coded. We can figure it out.

12. I'm not losing hope, vetwife
I am buoyed by the work that you and Ida have done. I'm scared - more than a little bit.

How am I keeping sane? I'm helping to compile numbers for Ida. Check this thread and grab a state:

13. I've been really upset and confused at the silence, as well, as with the
backbiting and infighting going on right here. I feel I have lost not only my hopes for the presidency, but yesterday, I felt I had lost DU, too. This morning, I realized something. It's not even been a week since the "election!"

I have to believe everyone has fallen back to take up guerrilla positions. That's the only logical explanation for this deafening silence and it's the position I'm going to take until the electoral college convenes next month.

17. I hear you
I wish I could help. But I do agree, the silence is more than deafening, it is downright unnatural. Part of me is uneasy because of it, while the other part is more than a little gleeful because that same silence must be completely unnerving Rove & Co.

4. In the dictatorship that we live in.
we are all kept in the dark. Its coup, and then countercoup, and none of us really ever get to see what is going on in the dark rooms.

Point is, no surrender

And by the way, I had the same anger yesterday... turst me, it is painful but we must be patient... and we may have to defend this country in new and creative ways in the near future

7. It may be that WE are the 'leaders' now.
I hear you, vetwife. This is beyond 'troubling strange' and 'curious.' Understand that I felt this country went down the 'rabbit hole' of social reality back when Reagan was 'elected'. But now, every where I go, all I see are DEAD PEOPLE. They're all 'busy' with the affairs of their 'lives' chatting away about this and that but I FEEL LIKE I'VE BEEN SHOT IN THE GUT. Even here on DU, I can't BELIEVE how many posters are asking questions about what we did 'wrong' or how we need to appeal more to the 'right' and all that bullshit. Good Lord, do these people not realize that Kerry WON IN A LANDSLIDE? That the vote tallies were RIGGED? And why is it that NO ONE, NO ONE, NO ONE other than people right here on DU see this--or are able to speak out strongly about it?

My whole solar plexus area is creeping out. Is this the END; not with a bang, not EVEN a whimper?

I'm doing what I know to do; I'm emailing everyone I know with the information we have suggesting that this election was RIGGED and IS A FRAUD BEING PERPETRATED UPON THE AMERICAN PEOPLE. The question is, even if those who believe this are right, what ARE we going to do about it?

Apparently we can't expect any 'leadership' from Democrats on this issue. Apparently all they want to do is drink the kool-aid and go on PRETENDING that the United States of America is ALIVE AND WELL. I don't think so.

9. Mrs. Edwards. Please PM me or email me, you have the email addy?
I know you are reading these posts and we need a morsel. Patience is running thin. I truly believe in back room strategy but we need something...anything to speak truth to power. One word. That is all we need.

14. Even my husband is coming around!
This is important! People don't know what to do so they aren't doing anything.

Come on! Think of the Boston Tea Party! They were only a few people but they made a difference! They were lost in a world of silence too but they stepped up!

I am working, keeping my head down. I will continue on even if it's just me in the end. I have to.

11. I've been thinking a lot about this ...
Possibly we are the leaders now. Maybe that is our purpose in these hard times. Maybe it has to look like its coming from the grass roots to keep Kerry sort of insulated until it's time for him to come out. It would be a good strategy if he is not the instigator in uncovering the biggest voting fraud case that goes all the way up to the pResident of the US.

Just a thought. I am really trying to get my head around all of this and keep my reason. Maybe I am just wishing.

16. It so crazy because anything we do could screw up THEIR strategy
And I know there is one ! I wished we could have talked to the Athens young man who committed suicide at Ground Zero. We don't want any other people to come unglued !

18. we are the leaders
It is in our hands. Talk person to person, heart to heart. Everyone you know, everyone you don't know.

If just ten people did this as though their life depended upon it, the message would spread like wildfire in a week. The colonists didn't have mass media. Word of mouth. Tell people. Ask them to pass it on. Don't argue, don't debate, don't try to convince them. JUST TELL THEM from the depths of your soul.

This is the most important thing you will ever communicate in your life.
