What the F__K is Kerry doing?
Franklin County Florida, 58% of the 73% Dem's voted for Bush. Why isn't the Democrats and Kerry screaming from the hilltops. This is fucking outrageous.

8. Yep..you're right. It's a Southern thing
Here in Louisiana, everyone is a registered Democrat, but they very rarely vote for a Democrat. Ask them why, and they will tell you that their mamas and daddies were Democrats, so that's why they are a Democrat, and why they will die a Democrat......but they always vote Republican. Heck, if we get 30% of the registered Democratic voters to vote for the Democrat we're doing really, really well.

3. If being a registered Democrat meant you always voted Democratic...
...we would have won every election for the past hundred years or so.

5. true, but in this election
when even lots of moderate/sane Republicans were jumping ship . . . does this result make sense?

7. In that county?
You can't take broad assumptions and stick them on a given country. The sad truth is, we didn't have republicans jumping ship. Oregon voted 52-47 in 2004. In 2000, when you add Nader to Gore, 52-47. CA, IL, AR; we lost 2% of the vote from 2000. We aren't looking at ALL the statistics and that's making it even harder to hone in on real irregularities. Seems to me anyway.

4. Why AREN'T we screaming from the rooftops?
What have we got to lose? More seats in Congress? The White House? Oh, I know what Democrats have to lose - the support and respect of their members. Well, then no wonder...

6. Relaxing at Home
I'd be shocked if he was gearing up to get involved in the fraud issues.

One of my many great Gore disappointments is that he did not get involved in ballot reform.

9. Optical Scan County - you can count the votes
Neat thing about optical scan ... you have the ultimate paper back-up with fingerprints & DNA if needed.

Count away - but dollars to donut holes, this is a Dixiecrat thing.

10. They are dixiecrats - this is not evidence of anything
That county, along with the others in question, voted for Bush in 2000 and most went for Dole in 96 (perot factor). We looked into this here on DU a few nights ago.

11. What about the exit poll results for Franklin county??
Edited on Mon Nov-08-04 05:13 PM by nebula
What are they?

the exit polls could clear up the confusion about the Dixiecrats
and reveal their true intentions on Tuesday once and for all!

Anyone have the results?
