Fox News terminology: "anti-Iraqi forces" |
|
is this new? They've been using it very consistently, there must have been one of those memos.
I was a little surprised it was used to represent the insurgents.
Maybe a more accurate term for the insurgents would be "anti-American forces."

And yes the "anti-Iraqi forces" crap comes from the bush admin, who told Allawi to use it. And of course, being nothing but good little stenos, the US State Media faithfully uses the term themselves.

6. which is very confusing |
|
because many of the nasties we're fighting now are the mujahideen, who in the 80's we celebrated as "freedom fighters" but who have since come somehow to hate freedom.

8. Even 'rebels' isn't accurate, if there isn't a legitimate government |
|
you can't exactly rebel against it.

9. Bunch of orwellian dorks. This, the net that refers to "homicide bombers" |
|
instead of what they really are.
Also, count how many times they say "the democrat party".

Call me crazy, but isn't that what our forefathers were called when they defended our homeland from outside oppressors. What's the difference here?
