I really don't want to see people being offended. I just want to say that I respect ALL religions. To those who are upset at the RW "Christians", they are not true Christians, as no good person would relegate homosexuals to second-class citizenship. Please be sensitive to other people's beliefs. To those who are very angry at this wave of seemingly anti-Christian sentiment, try your best to understand that those who make that noise do NOT represent the large majority of those on DU at all. Nobody should be insulting religions here, as it is the misuse of that religion that is the problem. Thank you.

4. Yes, of course, we are only talking about the wackos |

Hey, I am Catholic. My Bishop said voting for Kerry would be a sin. I think my Bishop is full of shit. The wackos nod yes and say, "Praise Jesus."

5. I am growing tired of these pleas |

that we prove we're not anti-Christian. It's ridiculous particularly since in the United States nearly everyone you speak to is likely to be an active or technical member of a Chrisian denomination. If we hated Christians, we'd hate nearly everyone we met.
P.S. I'm a Christian, I've been a member of DU for some time, and I don't consider it anti-Christian.

6. I sure wish we didn't have to |

But the GOP has framed our party as the "anti-faith party." Read the headlines and you'll see (or maybe not, could be just my perception.)
When my daughter's friends tell her being for Kerry is being "pro-abortion, pro-gay" then we've obviously been labeled. It's time to take it off the table, IMHO.
I don't like to wear my beliefs on my sleeve, but I'm not sure I like being told that I don't have any morals either. NO, no one at DU has said that, but Jeebus I've had my fill of hearing from the MSM.
