Capturing the hearts and minds of the heartless and mindless
Can we please stop scheming to pander to the red state mentality for votes? It leads nowhere.

2. I do not feel that this is a hateful thread.
A good case can be made that those who voted for Bush were heartless, at the very least. And that those who would abandon civil and human rights are heartless. It's worth discussing anyway.

4. Turning people into evil caricatures??
Calling them heartless and mindless? Sounds pretty venomous to me. Yes, there are evil people out there, but to paint millions in the red states with one broad brush? No thanks. I prefer to be understanding and compassionate. And we will never win unless we are.

NGU.

5. Guess I just interpreted it differently. Sorry.
Didn't mean to paint everyone who lives in Red States the same way.

I guess I do understand a DUer's impatience with ignorant people. It could have phrased better.

I know that I'm being biased when I think of pro-Bush voters as being ignorant. It is hard to resist, though.

6. look at what these shit-smearers believed to be facts ...
Edited on Mon Nov-08-04 07:27 PM by Pepperbelly
Bunches of them thought there was a direct collaboration between Hussein and Bin Forgotten, a third thought WMD was found in Iraq, and all thought G. Bush was an honest man.

:eyes:

Sometimes the broad brush is appropriate when you consider the damage they did either heartlessly or stupidly by voting for this fucking weasel.
