1. I think we should start
calling ourselves the "Phoenix" Party, because we've come through the fire and out of the ashes we will rise even stronger than before.

5. The Phoenix Rises
Speaking of The Phoenix, my brother started a blog by that very name in order to keep his head from exploding after the election. He has a brilliant take on recent political events. You can read it on the Bolg page of our website.

6. Take Action Now!
Even with the devastation we felt on Election Day, our party is more energized than ever before. Monday I went to the Delaware County Democratic Party meeting in Pennsylvania where we had a record turnout for attendance. Although Kerry’s loss was hard to take, we we’re proud since our county is 56% to 43% Republican to Democrat, and Kerry creamed Bush by more than 40,000 votes. (Kerry 157,000, Bush 116,000)

We’ve had a week off and now it’s time to start organizing for the election next year. We realize that it is important to have our candidates win at the local and state level every year and not just focus on turn out every four years for the Presidential Election.

Voter fraud aside, the Republicans won Ohio because they started their voter registration drive there immediately after the 2000 election. We need to follow that model, target specific areas now, take action and keep our momentum moving forward.
