Keep the Media OFF/TV! Olberman, Matthews the rest...they've reneged
Edited on Mon Nov-08-04 06:23 PM by KoKo01
and there's a "Lock Down."

Don't be suckered into their "back and forth" announcements about covering the Campaign Problems...Just "tune 'em out and keep working to make sure that Vote Fraud...or "Glitches" are exposed.

It will be a "cold day in hell" before the media reports anything favorable to us.

But, they love to keep us "guessing" it seems with these "on again...off again" reports.

The MEDIA today .......most of it works for Corporations. They Love Bush...they aren't going to give us Shit...so get over it. We are dead to them. They have low ratings but don't care..because they have millions of dollar contracts.

Just like our CEO's....they don't have to have their performance rated they just have to "shill for Bush" to get paid. :-(

they have given us crumbs to keep us tuning in - only to be smacked down with another swift boat diatribe etc.
they are really playing and that has to stop.

2. I agree...I get annoyed every time I hear...
someone say "I just saw ____ on CNN." Why are you watching CNN??? These are the hacks responsible for getting this loon re-elected and not questioning a damn thing he has done from day one.

Go ahead. Keep watching them. Nothing will ever change.

9. He might pull through...but it's all about ratings and salary and putting
"fingers in the wind to see which way it's blowing" the way "Tweety" does.

But, that was before the Chimp declared himself the Ruler of Rome (America). We need to know that even folks who are with us in heart and spirit...have to make money and have their "careers" on the line for the big bucks they make with their media contracts.

They have littl loyalty to us...when the "Ratings" go down...they will listen a little...When the ratings are "non-existent" the Advertisers start to balk and they will listen more.

It remains to be seen if the "supposed half of the USA who "supposedly voted" for Chimp can drive the spending that the Advertisers demand when they "buy time" on these shows to "hump their stocks and sell their wares" to unsuspecting "half of America."

I'm keeping it TURNED OFF...I'VE HAD ENOUGH...they aren't going to sucker me one more time! :puke: to the Corporate Whore Media who chases after Fox News ratings instead of creating ratings of their own based on "BALANCE."

Edited on Mon Nov-08-04 06:40 PM by Samantha
The story was on his website when I left work one hour ago. I sent the link to a co-worker. Maybe something has been posted here today that I have missed. Just asking (and I am going to go check the threads now).

11. Samantha it's been "back and forth" all day. So, I don't trust any of it
right now. If any DU wants to watch it...I'm sure they will post if it was good back here on DU. I won't turn it on.

Good Luck if you decide to watch...I just won't.

27. I turned off my TV after 2000 FRAUD and DO NOT MISS IT ONE BIT
I absolutely DETEST the emperor of smirk * and did so long before he was INSTALLED in the White House the first time. Every time I saw his face on the TV I would start throwing things at it. Finally, after the selection, I'd had it. NO MORE TV FOR ME. I made that promise to myself and I've kept it.

Because I'd ALREADY begun to get my information from various lists and groups and sources such as here at DU, I WAS ANTICIPATING A 9/11 TYPE EVENT. I didn't know 'what' precisely was going to happen but it was OBVIOUS to me that this country was being slowly nudged toward a more blatantly fascist society. Barbed wire around high-schools "to protect the children" (read: get them used to being in detention under constant surveillance) was one big tip off to me. The war on 'some drugs' was another--and the way that was leading toward further and further disenfranchisement of communities of color.

So, it had already become clear TO ME that their (right wing fascist) ultimate agenda was TO CREATE CONDITIONS THAT WOULD LEAD TO THE UTTER DESTRUCTION OF THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES. It was clear to me that they would need an 'event' of some sort to actualize their agenda. In the years leading up to 2000, I'd already watched how 'terror' was being played to us. WACO, the Murrah building, the first WTC bombing and others--all this was 'lead up' and preparation for 9/11.

On the actual day of 9/11 I broke my promise and watched on TV as the horror unfolded. But I knew from the first moment that what I was watching was a SPECTACLE, a murderous spectacle, being performed for the sole purpose of moving this society toward a fascist and militarist footing.

And now here we are. They stole an election in 2000, in 2002, and again in 2004. Now many of you are beginning to see what I have been seeing all along. OUR GOVERNMENT HAS BEEN HIJACKED BY A BUNCH OF FASCIST THUGS. This is not an overstatement.

The question is, what are WE going to do about it? And by "WE" here, I do not mean only those of us here on DU. We DUers are the fortunate ones. At least many of us have SOME idea what the hell is going on. The real WE that I question is the people of the United States--all of us. Because, believe it or not, WE are all in this together. Either we come to terms with the unprecidented situation in which we find ourselves and bring about a change that can only be considered REVOLUTIONARY from the point of view of 'business as usual' or we do not. One thing I am sure of, ONLY ABRUPT SOCIAL CHANGE CAN SAVE US NOW. No more waiting till the next election cycle. Get it: THERE WILL LIKELY NOT BE ANOTHER ELECTION CYCLE IN THIS COUNTRY. And even if there is, if we do not have control of the electoral system and can not verify the election, and if we do not have a media that reports accurately what is going on IN OUR NAME, then what is the point of having an 'election' at all?

I'm ranting and I apologize. I'm just sick to death about all this. We have SO MUCH POTENTIAL FOR A BETTER WORLD. Why or why are we letting these CRIMINALS rough-shod us into a future that only THEY want--and even they can't seriously want it.

BMU
