A short conversation between my manager and me... |
|
Background: My manager has been attempting to get me a company e-mail account for a couple of months now. He is short (with attendant syndrome), hardcore repuke, and ex-marine (supply).
Manager: I found out why you don't have an account yet.
Me: Oh yeah?
Manager: Well, it seems that after I ordered it, I called and cancelled it. I don't remember doing that, but I guess I did. They say I did.
Me: Well, we already know one thing...
Manager: What?
Me: Well, as a working man and a republican, we already know you're not that bright.
Manager: <long blank look> hehehe. walks off.
Man, I love being in a union.

Christ. There's no such thing as short-man syndrome. What an offensive stereotype.

7. "Alexander the Great? Puny little five foot four." |
|
Just recalling the Napoleon scene in Time Bandits.
Ian Holm.
I hope that wasn't offensive. It was hysterical.

5. I Have A Problem With Both Your Attitudes |

He's a dick for abusing his power....
and you aren't very nice to abuse your power by insulting him...
I am for one standard in the work place and that's the Golden Rule and I say that as one who has managed others and one who has been managed...

6. Union or no - my motto: "Don't make it an easy decision" |
|
...in this golden BushCo era in which the country is being carpet bombed by pink slips, there may be nothing you can do, but in the meantime - don't make it an easy decision.

|
Being a member of a union means you have collective power and can't be crushed like an ant... The poster used that power to dis his boss...

you get one chance to get a jab in...
btw, we've worked fairly closely together for the last few months, and had a few political discussions, so it isn't like it came out of left field. He knows where i stand.
