HEY ALL. Wife bought me Al Franken's book for anniversary
among other things....and BOY, I am already about 50 pages from finishing it! HOOAHHH! That guy sure stepped out of satirist mode often enough to just NAIL THOSE EVIL RIGHT WING B@stards to the wall! I sure hope more and more people swithc brains back into "ON" mode and pay attention to his facts and quotes and numbers. It was terrific.

I admit--I bought Hillary's book and haven't even finished it. That one was more about sticking it to the FREEPS, but I'll finish it eventually.

Now looking forward to reading Molly Ivins' offering.

Of course, when Franken was in funny mode he really cracked me up.

Tell me, what was your favorite part of the book? I loved when he talked about personal encounters with WOlfowitz, Perle, Foxnews staff like Hannity the dipsh!t, and Barbara Bush.

Stand up for yourselves, DEMOCRATS! I don't agree with everything Franken says/believes but he sure stands up and delivers.

2. I dog-eared the part about the pig-shit...
About the huge pig farming corporations:

" 'They cannot produce hogs, or pork chops...more efficiently than a family farm without breaking the law. They aren't about the free market, because they can't compete without committing criminal acts every single day. Their whole system is built on being able to disable or capture government agencies.

They're not in favor of responsibility, or democracy or private property. It's just about privatising the air, water, all the things that the public's supposed to own. They are trying to take them away from us, privatize them, and liquidate them for cash.

That's the only coherent philosophy they have. that's it.'

Yeah!"
