It is her biography. This is very odd considering she was only nineteen at the time. Surely one should be a little older than that to "write" a biography?

I do not, however, begrudge the girl her part in a million dollar deal. And will the supposed author really write the book for her as he contracted to do? Or, will he get someone else to do it for him and take credit, as he did at the newspaper before he was asked to resign. NY Times, I think?

Afterthought: According to what her parents said a while back, her memory is unimpaired. Of course she was in a great deal of pain and unconscious most of the time, but aside from that they claim she recalls what occurred.

I wish her luck. She could have been very, very dead.

That's the title it probably will have. That's what she kept repeating when the rescue team showed up to "rescue" her: "I'm an American soldier."

This is the kind of thread that would be right at home over at the Free Republic, if they had occasion to disrespect her. I understand that there was a lot of hype about her captivity and rescue. But mocking her ordeal is something she doesn't deserve and belittles you all.
