i think splitting it into GD:Vent your Spleen and GD:Composure would be a nice demarcation.

6. GDPolitics, I'm assuming, is about elections, candidates, etc. --

that leaves GD for discussion of things like Iraq; Bush administration programs, policies, actions, failures, etc.; Bush himself; where our country is headed, and what it should and might be; Supreme Court related events -- a wealth of topics.
