Black bracelets to protest
My friend & I bought those little rubber/plastic type bracelets that are really cheap (we used to call them friendship bracelets), and we are wearing 4 black ones, for the 4 years of mourning we'll have if this recount thing doesn't take a harsh turn soon... Anyone else wearing or displaying anything to make a statement?

4. Pretty much anywhere that sells
cheap jewelry for teens, like Claire's, Walgreens, Target, etc. We got a stack of them for about $3.

I've still...
Got my Kerry for Pres sticker, Democratic Underground Sticker, Defazio for Rep and "W 4 War" sticker on my car. I'm going to keep them on, just so I can say "I told you so" in about 2 to 3 years.

3. Good idea - but where is the money going?
I paid $1 for a yellow Lance Armstrong bracelet that donates the funds to children with cancer.

These things cost 10 cents to make and are selling for $5.

6. Plain Black Armbands
Yay! This is my first post! It took awhile for me to get on due to technical reasons. I've been reading for awhile and I'm happy to be here. Y'all got me through the election w/ my sanity almost intact.

I say PLAIN BLACK ARMBANDS for now. Quiet, simple, and every blue patriot can make one at home. I wear them all the time now. If people ask what it is it gives me an opportunity to let them know that I am mourning the death of American democracy.

Cheers to all y'all at DU. Thanks for existing.

11. Black Armband
But I recall that Samantha suggested black bracelets a few days back as being something that would be easier to get away with at work. I'm also going to pick up some "It's Not Over" t-shirts from I think it was Change for America's Future or one of those groups.... ANYWAY, I REALLY think it would be a good idea to come up with some symbol by which we could identify ourselves to each other and take comfort in knowing there are others out there - and hopefully increasing numbers of others... Whatever, the group likes best I'd be good with but hopefully this will grow legs because I think one of the hardest things for many of us is just not knowing if we are just a small, crazy group (which is probably true ;-) or if there are lots more people out there who consider * illegit. Any chance of getting this idea - black bracelets or armbands or whatever - really rolling?
