Is the National Moron Going to Be Able to Slime His Way Out Again??? |
|
So, I've been delving into the major news story of the day which is the headline story on all the national papers this a.m. It's about our brilliant, brilliant, best leader since God, making the tough decision to go to the UN for help. I stand in awe of this man---his brilliance does blind me. And it's just that blindness that I'm concerned about.
I know the American public has the attention span of an ADD fly with a nervous tic, and their brains can be washed easier than I can get the stains off the front of my husband's shirts when he misses his mouth!! Of course, it has been the Dems and a group of angry republicans who have dogged this fucking bastard to do this. But, hell, a few more dead people while he drank away his well deserved vacation at the pig farm, was not worth making the effort until now. If the UN (and I'm sure bribes are going to be flying under tables faster than shit flying out of a distressed goose), does agree to sanction help, it will, of course, take troop and financial burdens off the US.
I forsee the Great One standing in front of thundering applause at his convention and selling the people on the notion that his genius led the nation to dispose of an evil dictator and do such a wonderful job in getting things back under control, rebuilding, etc. Any who disagree will be called lying traitors because he will claim this was his master plan all along. They will never admit in public that they were a total failure and had to be beat by a stick to seek help. I'm afraid the UN might just help the Bush Boy inadvertently get re-elected. I wish the UN would come out and say they will give the help as soon as we elect a replacement for Bush----just wishful thinking. The Dems need to literally shove this in his face every, every day until election day and call it the failure and childish planning that it was.

3. Well, I am not going to add the "stupid" |

part- since it would seem aimed at Starpass and out of place. If you mean *, then yeah.

"I'm afraid the UN might just help"
Watch France. They are in no mood to lend credibility to a war they opposed from the start. The only way they (and China and Russi too) are going to allow the UN to grant legitimacy to the recontruction effort, is if Bush gives other nations a say in the civil administration of Iraq and the formation of a new government.

6. In a 'military economy'.... |
|
...national security and economics go hand in hand.
- And yes...we can count on the American Media glorifying Bush* for bringing the UN into the ongoing mess that HE created.

10. Q---just hit a big nail on the head!!! |
|
That unfortunately is just what we are seeing now. I see all these reports of strength coming to various sectors of our ecnomy, looking good, etc. and then I see the wee little footnote that it is all considered due to defense spending. Ask any Russian----defense spending is a one way ticket to the pits. They failed because instead of using money to manufacture and sell items of trade, they were building bombs. So this is no fucking recovery at all---it's all skating on ice. BUT, it will look like a nice recovery by the time he takes the stage next summer. Seeee, BINGO, America all your problems are solved by the Great One!!!!!

13. I am going to have to agree |
|
with ya on that. I don't think that any help from the UN is going to come without a very dear price being paid. Let us pray it is with the total humiliation of this entire administration.

5. How many countries will be willing to help with troops/manpower? |
|
The rest of the world has functioning media and press- they know all about how our troops are killed and injured on a daily basis. Sending their own citizens to die in a meat-grinder of America's making will not make too many national leaders all that popular in their own countries.

9. Milton---I would think they would also be afraid of something more |
|
The being killed in Iraq is only the appetizer---the real meal would be putting their country in harms way from these terrorists who have just turned Iraq into their DisneyWorld dream vacation!!! Though, as I stated in my post, I'm afraid money will be passed. All he wants is some UN cover and then I take it that India, Pakistan and a couple others are going to send troops. Bribes go a long way in these nations (people are cheap to their leaders)- we saw that with the darling in Pakistan already who is one of the best con men around. Plays all sides against the middle. These countries it is reported are just waiting for a UN nood to cover the asses of their sorry leaders.

14. You are correct Starpass.... |
|
That is exactly the way they operate. For example, Bush giving a speech in front of union group. He's putting on his moderate front just before the election, then he'll return to his right-wing radical agenda of tearing down this nation...

7. Great writing and deduction, Starpass |
|
I am going to trust the UN for now. I think that the coalition which did not go along with this invasion will now be even more adamant about demands for sharing the power and booty in Iraq. They have not a thing to lose by telling Whistle Ass to go eat shit. They are also smart enough to see a re-selection manuever by the Rover. I would hope that they do not want to see our "moran-in-chief" sleeping in the WH for another four years.

11. Iraq will NOT be an issue in the 2004 elections |
|
Read Molly Ivans book "Shrub". Bush will do whatever it takes to neutralize the quagmire in Iraq as an issue well before the election. Of course the UN will be in, and soon in my opinion, probably within the next month or so. Plenty of time to see pictures of UN troops in Bagdad and to blame the UN for every problem in the mideast. As much as the neocons will hate handing over authority to the UN, the ONLY thing that matters to Bushco is winning the next election. All else is sublimated to that goal. And the American public NEVER votes on yesterday's news.
Molly points out in her excellect book that Bush is above all else, politically savy. He has a pattern of doing his worst during the first part of the term and then moving back to a more moderate position as elections near. He also is the master of talking moderate and governing hard right. Its fun to get excited about Bush's declining poll numbers, but don't get too complacent yet. Its a long time till the next elections and a lot can happen.

I think the UN will come in and help dig bush out of this mess he created…even if he did call them irrelevant. …and Rummy calls Europe old country….yes, they’ll be there to bail his ass out…why…because it proved them right and him wrong…thinking he could do this by himself with Britain and a few rag tag troops from a so called coalition… Also the UN will probably take the oil money produced and start to rebuild the country and make it a priority to get the electric and water up and running plus the food program…this is what the oil profits should be used for….
We went in on the warnings of WMDS, they could strike any minute. right…that’s what we were told…agreed? Well, they have found none to date and there are terrorist groups now infiltrating Iraq….whats the scenario if they find these “WMDS” first…..if Saddam had them?????

I believe that if Saddam did have them, they would be shoved all the way up Bush's ass by now. Pure logic...pure....

17. And its not going to help trying to produce wmds now because |
|
they already been bitchin' and moanin' about non-Iraqis flooding into Iraq. Now if they find any wmd, they will have to face the argument that they were brought in AFTER the war started.
I'm sure the UN realizes that they now have a tremendous opportunity to affect our '04 election.
It's going to be pretty embarrassing when the UN starts revealing that we purposely blew up the infrastructure just so we could build it all up again.
