Help: the thread on the Ohio area being shut down by the CIA and
homeland security for terrrrr reasons. Got into a discussion with my fellow poker player tonight, who voted for * and I was fumbling trying to tell her of this shut down. I know DU talked about it, but don't remember the thread title or what to really search for. Thank you.

2. It was in Warren county Ohio
The locked the media out from the vote counting because of "security" risks the FBI advised them about. When the FBI was questioned, they said no threat was ever issued. That should give you enough info to search on.

FBI denies warning officials of any special threat

By Erica Solvig and Dan Horn
Enquirer staff writers

"LEBANON - Warren County officials, facing scrutiny of their decision to lock down the administration building on election night, say they were responding to a terrorist threat that ranked a "10" on a scale

(then skip to bottom of article)

Officials at the FBI, which oversees anti-terrorism activities in southern Ohio, said they received no information about a terror threat in Warren County.

"The FBI did not notify anyone in Warren County of any specific terrorist threat to Warren County before Election Day," FBI spokesman Michael Brooks said.

A spokeswoman for Ohio's top homeland security official, Public Safety Director Ken Morckel, knew of no heightened terror warning for either Warren County or any other Greater Cincinnati community on election night."

7. From the NY Times Editorial, 11/14:
The outrageous decision by Warren County, Ohio, to lock down the building where votes were being counted is an extreme example of another serious problem with the elections: a lack of transparency. In some states, reporters are barred from polling places. The wild rumors about Cuyahoga County, Ohio, where the official results appeared to include an extra 90,000 votes, were a result of its bizarrely complicated method of posting election results, which is different in even- and odd-numbered years. The nation needs to develop an election culture in which officials in every part of the country automatically keep things as open - and as simple - as humanly possible....
