shall we pray for the dead in Fallujah, or just say Fuck em? |
|
as good christians, should we pray for the souls lost in iraq, over 100,000 and counting? did they deserve our prayers or pity? or did they get what they deserved because they dared to ignore christ?
do the innocent mothers holding their children go to paradise or to hell when they blow up?

2. see, in this situation |
|
I'd have to vote for the innocent civillians, rather than the person who whacked'em.
It's funny (in a very tragic way) that these people wear their religion on their sleeve (and ask that everyone else do as well), but yet they ignore commandment one of their beloved 10.
THOU SHALT NOT KILL.
Seems pretty straight forward to me, but I guess these christians must not understand the meaning of the word 'kill'.

..that particular commandment should be interpreted as "thou shalt not murder." So killing is OK as long as it isn't murder. And we can easily twist intentions in our little minds so that our murdering becomes killing.
After all, those innocent civilians in Iraq shouldn't have flown the 9/11 airplanes and built all those WMDs. Then we wouldn't have had to kill all 100,000 of them.

20. right... it's not killing |
|
because we don't call it that. :eyes:
Even if you were able to make the semantic distinction between killing and murder (self defense being the only truly viable path there) how is it that one can say that putting a rifle slug into an unarmed human who has not chosen to be killed not murder?
Just curious.

6. "Christians" who support the war |
|
would probably be wiser to pray for their own souls as Jesus will probably say 'depart from me, I know you not'..

7. CNN International had this special programme |

about right wing christians in america. the presenter interviewed this kid of 10, who was asked- "What happens to people who do not believe in Jesus?" and the kid says, without missing a beat- "they go to hell." so whatever you, mopaul, may wanna do, the 51% majority in your country have a resounding "fuck em" message to any non-christian dying in iraq.

arrogance has almost always led to the undoing and downfall of 'leaders'. Being that these people rank at the top of the list of history's most arrogant, they may still be in for a major fall. At least we can hope.

the biggest part of this "battle" is that so many people are blinded to the simplest truths right now. Whether that's by government leaders, the media, churches, friends, neighbors, personally held biases, or even Jon Stewart and fake news ---- for whatever reason-- our fellow citizens are NOT aware, don't understand what they are seeing/hearing, do not have the facts/truth. YOU are in pain because you DO see what's happening. Don't check out--our hope rests on the truth spreading & EVERY awake person MUST wake up someone else!
peace
I'm sorry you are in pain because it hurts so much, but I'm not sorry your pain exists-- it is proof that you have a heart and soul.

... the one which sported a big neon cross saying, "Temple Baptist Church, Saved By The Blood" it was a sin for a baby to cry, since the baby was selfish for only thinking of its own needs. I still remember that hateful comment from Sunday School over forty years ago, which is probably why I'm so fed up with it all. Man, I also remember that when my sister asked if babies who had never heard of Jesus would go to hell our Sunday School teacher said yes they would, that their lack of salvation wasn't God's fault, it was ours for not having more missionaries.
My sis is still a fundie but luckily I was booted out of the church in High School for leading a walk-out protest during the Vietnam War. Never looked back. No regrets.

11. Whichever. Won't help either way. |

They're dead, and our government killed them. I won't say "we" killed them, because i don't know anyone who voted to continue this insanity. Oh, sure over 53 million voted for it, but I won't associate with those mouthbreathers.
Anyway, go ahead and pray if it makes you feel better. They're dead.
Times like this I wish there really WAS a "Hell", just so the whole BFEE could go there.

God so loves the world that He allows the dead from Iraq to go to Purgitory, unless they have committed mortal sins such as being anti-freedom. But for the majority of the ones you are talking about, specifically the little children, Jesus (God's Son) taught lessons that if little children are killed for freedom, and they haven't been baptised, they go to Purgitory. Their mothers often do, too, as God doesn't like to separate families or have abortions. The fathers are judged a bit differently. If they were carrying roses and palm leaves to welcome our troops, they too go to Purgitory, although they stay in a men's dorm. If they carried a sword that was not beat to a plowshare, it's Hell.
Purgitory allows them the opportunity to learn a trade that will be useful in serving Americans in Heaven. It also grants them the oppportunity to renounce everything that was once sacred to them, and to join the One True Faith. Think of Purgitory as kind of a high school detention and extra-study program for those souls who, not from being really bad, just aren't passing the Lord's Moral SAT's.

More likely well over 200,000 and counting. Then there are the poor babies who don't die but just suffer like this fellow.
