Her hubby stayed home and became "my kid's Mom". Or so she says. I only listen to her on rare occasions now (her time slots keep changing) and only to get a good chuckle as I ponder what on EARTH would compel ANYONE to call her for "advice about a moral dilemma". She really should fold up her tent and crawl off into the desert, but as long as there are those who listen, call and pay to advertise, I guess she'll be there, ranting around about the "moral decay" of our country. No more "news" shows, and, especially, no more talking heads. They're meaningless, and, worse, upsetting. Cable is worse than network.

Matalin and Carville are neighbors of ours in Northern VA. I really cannot tell you what a shrew she is and how nice he is. But, I'm awfully tired of their stretching out their fifteen minutes of fame. They have nothing to say, and, like all the other "experts," all they do is pollute the atmosphere.

Better to read a good novel or take a nice, long walk/bubble bath/nap. Or watch a Charlie Chaplin movie. The Food Network. Comedy Central.

As usual, I flipped and found nada, and turned it off after the hazy image of Carvie Baby appeared. It bothered me because i had no feelings one way or the other toward that monkey, and I used to be glued to Sunday Morning political shows ( screaming and throwing things, but watching nonetheless.)

Carvie and his ilk are no longer needed. They are the 90's, man. It's time for a new direction and for new leaders to step forward and stop selling this party out to get a tiny gain somewhere or to pad their own resumes.

35. The ONLY good thing I can say about Mary Matalin is ...

that's she really not a homophobe. I heard an interview with her a couple of years ago and she said that she believes the Republicans are correct on every issue except civil unions for gays and lesbians. Said her neighbors are a gay couple and they are very dear friends and her kids adore them. She said the Republicans need to get past all the hysteria and support civil unions. That's the ONLY thing she's ever said that was in any way rational.

I think we probably don't know what any of these paid hacks REALLY believe, if anything. They are paid to spout their ideological lines and I doubt we have a lot of sincere people in the media whore group. They just know who's buttering their bread. I've heard Carville and Matalin say they never discuss politics at home. I think they are both a couple of cynics just in it for the cash.

Inasmuch as Carville and Matalin are devout Catholics, I doubt they would ever split.
