Talking point alert: CIA told Bush "slam dunk"
I heard both McCain and Lindsey Graham cite that dubious Tenet quote in the service of shilling for Bush against the CIA, and David Brooks alluded it in a column.

All three also cited the CIA leaking damaging info about Bush.

Just a heads up...

1. I heard that. Isn't it TENET'S fault? He should have been fired.
So when he wasn't, who's fault was it then?

2. the deflect the blame game is going FULL BORE in Washington DC
Old georgie porgie's house is starting to crumble. The CIA has troubles and everyone blames the CIA for all the Iraqi problems.

They deserve all they are going to get. My heart and prayers go out to the men and women in uniform and to their families.

GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS. BRING THEM HOME SAFELY AND SOON.........

3. I suspect it was Tenet who catered to Cheney and it is not the
regular CIA staff who screwed up. Too much info has come out that all the CIA info was not substantiated but Cheney took only the info that bolstered the case against Iraq. What bothers me is the good people who will be leaving. Just like at DOD the generals who argued with Rummy left and took early retirement; then all you end up with is yes-men to Bush/Cheney.

4. Tenet said that, NOT the CIA. Tenet is a criminal just like Bush.

5. Do we really know that Tenet said it? I thought the source of the quote
was Bush. . . .in otherwords, Bush quoted Tenet in an interview to Bob Woodward.
