Al Franken on Terry Gross
Here in the Philadelphia listening area, where the show is produced, today at three PM. I think her show is syndicated to PBS nationally. Listen to the show later at whyy.org.

3. Thanks for the heads up!
My local NPR station airs her at 3pm, and I don't always bother to listen. I will today.

I've started reading his book, and it's great of course. He'll be passing through KC next month on his book tour, and I'm looking forward to seeing him.

For those of you in this area, Rainy Day Books (www.rainydaybooks.com) is the sponsor. They're the wonderful people who recently brough Hillary Clinton to KC and (somewhat more important in my view) Susan MacDougal. Not to mention Michael Moore last year. It's a good independent bookstore, and I buy a lot of my books from them.

I'd kinda like to see her switch the mix to more hard news and less entertainment stuff, but she's good at whatever she does.

(I think she has one of the sexiest voices on radio, too.)

7. He says that the cheap shots Fox takes in their complaint are the
things O'Reilly wishes he had said at the book fair.

9. Franken on Schwarzenegger. Cares mostly about the fact that he's friends w
with Waldheim.

"Call my judgmental but I don't like Nazis. Especially Nazis who were officers in armies which killed Jews."

He says that Arnold invited Kurt W. to his wedding, and when he couldn't get into the country, because of his Nazi past, he decided to toast him, much to the horror of all the Kennedies attending.

Al says he thinks that it's mad that Republicans rally around guys like that. He says that if he were a Republican, which he isn't, he'd be giving a look at a guy like Uberroth, who has a track record for valuable social achievements. But Republicans aren't interested in that.

10. Bush over McCain
says all you need to know about how low the GOP has sunk. In fact, Kerry should make an issue over that, and I believe he will.
In fact I'll bet good money he will if the going gets really tough on JFK.
