Today's B.C. strip is particularly repugnant |
|
Sorry, it's not on comics.com yet. Anybody else seen it?
Anyway, it's bad enough when Johnny Hart gets preachy, but now he's getting political. The basic message of today's strip is that tax cuts for the rich are a good thing; morans will love his take on trickle-down economics.
I don't know why I even look at B.C., it's never funny and frequently pisses me off.

1. Actually, he's been political before. |
|
He ran an election in his strip, and it was apparent who was * and who was Kerry. I have some old BC paperbacks, and back then he was really funny. But that "born again" crap has certainly taken the humor out of his stuff. I don't know why I read him either--most of the time I get pissed off.

3. Larson has better cave man jokes, |
|
like the cave man who's cart has square wheels that he kept ruining by wearing the corners round.

Who was repeating deceit, and who's truth apparently got defeated?
Why would being Christian make one's POLITICAL views, which often have nothing to do with one's religion, suddenly more true. There is no Democrat truth or Republican truth, or Christian truth and heathen truth, or truth by virtue of being the winner of the election either.
Truth is truth (how trite, I know).
Beware false prophets, Mr. Hart.

5. Oh..Hell Yeah....That's why the Rich are so rich....It's because... |
|
...they're taxed too much. With that line of thinking: The Poor are poor because they're taxed too little.

9. Don't laugh, that's one of the things Bush has been telling |
|
the faithful at his fundraisers.
This is just more from a man who was brought up to think people were poor only because they were lazy (no mirrors in HIS house!) and has never known enough of real life to change that viewpoint.
