Keith Olbermann is underattack

TRIBUNE-REVIEW
Sunday, November 14, 2004

So, America, what's sloppier?
Our shaky elections system or the jayvee journalism practiced on Keith Olbermann's fake MSNBC news show "Countdown With keith Olbermann"?

I cast all of my votes for Olbermann.

The recovering sportscaster is openly liberal and his irreverent, run-and-quip offense is easy to detest. But I kind of like him and his fast-paced infotainment show, which has the fatal misfortune to occupy the 8 p.m. time slot opposite Fox's "The O'Reilly Factor."

1. keith won't be around much longer. he rolls his eyes and smirks
at right wing inanities too much.

they'll be itching to replace him with a good soldier. guess they thought since he once worked for fox sports he didn't have a mind of his own.

7. was gone since friday night sorry
Edited on Sun Nov-14-04 05:30 PM by AIndependentTexan
Just got in the habit of it after someone said one time that something from general also needed to be posted there. I actually saw this at another forum and didn't see any post. Keep in mind again I've been gone since friday and I am sorry if the crossthreading is a problem I don't have to do it. I've been under the thought that each forum was separate

10. I'm still learning and I can even stop on the double post if it is a
problem. I've always seen it as more people getting exposed to it. Sometimes if it is a busy day in one area certain topics get buried fast then they do in other forum areas. However, but keep in mind I am willing to stop if it is necessary. I don't want to be a problem and if I am just let me know I can handle being told so. I'm also willing to change what does need to be changed.

12. Not true - they fired Donahue
And didn't Donahue have their highest rated show at the time?

14. Donahue had perhaps the lowest rating since the beginning of
time.

13. *bzzzzzzt*, Ad Hominem, thank you for playing.
Note that the attack is on Olberman himself (and his "fake news" show, and his "jayvee" journalism), but the factuality of his specific assertions is never actually addressed.

Mr. Steigerwald needs to go back to High School and come back to journalism when he learns how to construct arguments that wouldn't get him diqualified from the L/D debate team.
