out here on the weekends. She was filling in once during the week and had one of the most racist hours I had ever heard. She was talking about how John Kerry was leading among Muslim-Americans (as a knock to Kerry), and was urging Jewish people to support Bush in response. Totally divisive.

7. Tammy was the Los Angeles chapter president of NOW

in the early nineties when we were undergoing the attacks on the Women's Health Clinics by the notorious Operation Rescue folks. She was a great pit bull of a leader and an effective general in marshaling the pro-choice forces who succeeded in beating back the assault. Then she started going over the top in her public statements which lead to her being chastised by the national NOW power structure. Low and behold, it turned out that Tammy could not take constructive criticism the least little bit.

Presto! Chango! A new and not improved Tammy was born! What you saw before you on C-SPAN and what you can hear on right wing radio almost every night is the transformed version, the ultimate femi-fascist!
Those of us who knew the old Tammy find the new Tammy 'Zell' Bruce very disturbing to say the least.
