to compete with Jim Lehrer, NBC, etc. I love Randi Rhodes, but she has to fill four hours and she deflates in her final hour. Or this could be the best of the AAR that day so that working people who miss it at work can listen. This would be a good exposure for drivers caught in traffic during rush hour also.

We need our own news channel and this could be a start.

2. You are so right --- we need to get our message out! People need an..
alternative to fox news and the rest of the corporate run media.

3. I agree - I'd like to see Ring of Fire expanded to daily too.
Right now AAR is too much talk and not enough interviews and news. In my opinion. I know they're supposed to be a talk format to compete with the right wing talk shows, so I understand where they are coming from.
But in my perfect world I would like something to compete with NPR and Pacifica.
Something exactly like the way NPR used to be, before it was corrupted. Just real news. No agenda.
Sigh.

4. I hope AAR is able to hold on to the niche...
...they've created for themselves. I wondered what would happen to them if Bush won, and I'm hoping they have enough backing to make it. It would be a real shame if they started losing affiliates.

5. Me too! I wrote them asking for international news. Right now they just
read mainstream news to us which, as you know, is usually quite worthless. We have nowhere, except online, to get real news. Let's make a place and shut down the fake WH news on the teevee and mainstream "press"
