RW b.c. comic strip today - sad
You know that Hart is a rightie who forces his religious/conservative views on an unsuspecting populace. (maybe he should also remember his other strip, the Wizard of Id - the king is a fink!)

Again, on one of his favorite targets - the ants in a public "skool"

The essence:

Young ant says that the French kids are smarter than them (implied: American public school kids).

Teacher asks why.

Young ant says it's because they all can speak French.

The sad point is, there are probably a lot of French who would speak better English than the current example of the US of A, George W. Bush. Funny, I would believe that there are a lot of French who have to deal with a lot of English speaking tourists/businessmen to the point of actually having to learn English as almost a requirement in the schools.

2. All schoolkids should be required to take a foreign language.
Americans are so ignorant, it is depressing.

6. A couple of days ago, it had
a crab swimming deeper and deeper into the ocean.

The panels said something like

If you go deep below the sea, to the deepest trenches of the ocean

You will meet a creature that is master of his realm

He commands all that he can see

The King Crab

And it shows a big crab wearing a crown on the ocean floor and the king crab says....

"I can't see a %$#^$^& thing down here."

I don't know why that hiw me as so funny.

9. "Mutts" is relatively progressive.
The strip is pro-environment and even leans slightly to vegetarianism, despite Mooch and Earl's frequent visits to the Fatty Snax deli! :-)

4. I Still Read B.C. Unlike Other Offending Strips
St Johnny manages to control the flow of his wingnuttiness to sporadic droppings. He can't completely stifle his talent. When he's in his fundie mood, I just steam and move on.

I started a personal boycott (nobody knows) of "Family Circus" years ago when the dad was in a hammock with a blissful expression and a portable radio and one kid said to the other, "Shhhh, you KNOW we can't bother Daddy when he's listening to Rush (LIMBOsevic)."

Won't even LOOK at "Mallard Fillmore"----the insufferable, kevechting prig-no talent.

The Mother Goose & Grimm dude is FAN-tas!-tic.
