Andrea Mitchell on Tweety: sounds like State Dept next for purge
Mitchell said (and I'm paraphrasing all of this) that when Condi takes over at the State Department, there will be a house-cleaning from top to bottom, with hard-liners from the Right replacing those who have opposed or dragged their feet on policies Bush and Cheney favor. She said that John Bolton was likely to be number two at State, and some wanted a higher place for Wolfowitz. She said that required reading would be a book Bush has just read, Natan Scharansky's "The Case for Democracy."

They've purged the Pentagon, I think, and are in the process of purging the CIA. Now, State.

4. Soon, all government employee's will have the required little
red book, "Thoughts of our Father and Protector, George W. Bush"

It won't be a big book or a deep read. Just little mindless sayings to memorize to prove your fealty to the Maximum Leader.

8. I'm reminded of the campaign loyalty oath -- this is really scaring me...
happening so fast, and no way to stop it. The press says nothing. And our people in D.C., I'm not sure get it at all. They work with these people, live next door to them, have kids in the same schools -- I don't think they understand who they are, and what they're doing.

7. So Bush supporters voted FOR totalitarianism. That's great.
Edited on Mon Nov-15-04 07:39 PM by blm
Just like they voted for a MORE secretive government.

And voted to continue covering up for the Saudi royals and their abetting of terrorism.

Bush voters are TRAITORS to this country and to the Constitution.

9. And the band played on...
Isn't it nice to know you live in a country where there is no viable press? They silently stand by and watch the sun go down on a great Western democracy.

Thanks whores, see you in hell.

14. The press was the only barrier to totalitarianism. Now they are part of it
and they don't even seem to mind.

15. Because they are in too deep. They are the unindicted co-conspirators
that enabled the rise of this totalitarian regime.

10. Buchannan on Scarborough
I read over on Kos that Buchannan believes Bush is trying to makeover the government with very few allies. With any luck, this will all fall apart for him.

With any luck. (Please, if there is a god, show me a sign!)
