Will Bush Cause the End of Humanity?
Edited on Tue Nov-16-04 12:02 PM by MaryH
I just read a very frightening article from Australia. The woman felt that Bush will cause the end of humanity. That he will start Armageddon. And that his total disregard for the state of planet will cause the destruction of our habitat.

That is a very scary thought because he and his buds seem so determined to do what they want that they are blind to future ramifications of their actions.

I'll have to find the address. I just saw the article over on Common Dreams.com and I can't pull it up right now. The print version is down.

3. Define Humanity...
Humanity in the sense of all humans on the earth? or Humanity in the sense of a state of mind that is dictated by current trends the lean towards civility? I think he has achieve the latter already.

"Bush threatens mankind, says Caldicott By David Williams
November 16, 2004

Helen Caldicott, world-renowned anti-nuclear and environmental activist.

Nobel Peace Prize nominee Dr Helen Caldicott fears US President George Bush's re-election will lead to Armageddon and she isn't sure if mankind would survive another four years.

"This is the most serious election that has ever occurred in the history of the human race, without a scrag of doubt," she told smh.com.au.

"I don't know if we'll survive the next four years ... I don't think the Americans have, on the whole, the faintest idea - and I have to say also I don't think most Australians do either. But it's not just the threat from nuclear war. It's the threat of what's happening to the environment, the global warming which is occurring rapidly now, to ozone depletion, to species extinction, to deforestation - it's the whole thing." more...must read

7. well, while he may not cause Armageddon, he's certainly
not helping avert it. :grr:

Personally, I believe that they have a desire to bring on the Apocalypse, either that, or they're beyond incompetent.

11. I always thought it was likely with 4 more years
It's not the four years that will do the most damage, but the Bush Supreme Court majority, and the likely dominance of Republicans for a while which the Supreme Court will assist. This is exactly the time when things could be done to preclude what was already a likelihood in my opinion ... global warming cooperation, preventing fanatical Islamism from becoming a dominant ideology, developing effective international police coordination against terrorists. The Republicans will prevent all of this from moving forward, usually aggravating the problem. :( There's still hope. I think they might overreach and be thrown out of power in an unprecedented way.

13. Bush and his supporters are clear on this: they WANT the end of the world
Edited on Tue Nov-16-04 12:21 PM by HamdenRice
because they are part of a fundie death cult. Don't you get it? He is actually indoctrinated into this Christo-fascist death cult that wants nuclear war in the middle east, that doesn't worry about evironmental destruction, that looks forward to a clash between world powers in Israel because the result is that Jesus is going to come floating down from the clouds (you don't think that that white stuff is just condensation in the upper atmosphere do you? There's a big throne up there with God sitting on it where the airplanes fly!) and land in Jerusalem.

At that point the Israeli's/Jews, who according to this fundie death cult will have done so much to bring on Armegeddon, will have a choice of either converting to Christianity or burning in hell with all the pagans, heathens and non-believers.

Bush, Pickles, Pat Robertson, John Ashcroft and a select few will be raptured up into the clouds.

This is actually what they believe, so they are working hard (causin' armeggedon is hard work!) to bring it about.
