WHERE ARE OUR DAMN DEMOCRATIC LEADERS????
Kerry didn't fail us with the election issues. Kerry didn't lose the election, it was stolen. He HAS failed us by not fighting for it. The damnable DNC leaders and most of the Democratic Party leaders have really failed us by not discussing this on TV and by just sitting there and agreeing with the right wing pundits about why Kerry "lost", the bastards! I am so sick of watching Carville, Begala, and the others, just sit back and AGREE with, republicans for God's sake, instead of talking about the stolen election, and getting it on the airwaves and out in the open, WHETHER IT CHANGES ANYTHING OR NOT! That is not the only point, voters have to be aware of this possibility, so they can push for real and true elections by the people and not by the companies who own the vote, who are owned by the republicans.

Let me tell you, if this was the Republicans in our position, their leaders would be on every TV show non stop, howling about a stolen election. Doing the very thing that has made them so effective in this political war. THIS IS WHY THEY ARE BETTER THEN THE DEMOCRATS AT GETTING THEIR MESSAGE OUT!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY WOULD BE SCREAMING IT FROM THE BOWELS OF HELL TO THE HEAVENS!!!!!!!!!!!

Our leaders are doing the damn same thing they always do, which is nothing, and the people of this country are paying for it. They are just a bunch of despicable cowards who are afraid of their own voice. Just who in the hell do they think they are going to offend? The people who voted for them or the people who didn't? The ones who get offended aren't going to vote for them anyway! They are only pushing loyal Democrats like me away from them!

Never in a million years, did I ever think that I would have thoughts about actually leaving this party, but I am beside myself with disgust for the mealy mouth Democrats who are always the ones who seem to have their traitorous faces on TV, though rarely, who are blaming the campaign, etc. instead of talking about the REAL voter fraud that has gone on here. All I see are Republicans and pundits talking to each other about our Democratic party like they are the experts on us, when they aren't even a member and don't have the slightest clue what it means to be a DEMOCRAT! DEMOCRATS ARE PEOPLE WHO ARE ALWAYS FIGHTING FOR THE AVERAGE PERSON, THE RIGHT TO VOTE AND HAVE IT BE COUNTED, EVERYDAY LIFE ISSUES, HAVING THE SAME BENEFITS AND RIGHTS OF THE RICH AND POWERFUL.

4. We have to focus on getting a progressive wing going in..
every Democratic precinct. We can cooperate with the larger party, but stand loudly by our progressive principles. Abandoning the party probably will not get us anywhere. We need a leader like Howard Dean to become the DNC chair.

Excuse me. For a minute there, I thought the Democratic powerful might want to do what is best for the party. But they are more concerned with appointing one of their tooshey-kissing buddies.

3. I'm with you 1000%. I am done with this party
unless they get rid of everybody in it, and rebuild it from the ground up.

Fuck 'em.

They sold us down the river on this one.

7. They're there...
...you just don't see them because they get no air-time.

You're right when you say: "if this was the Republicans in our position, their leaders would be on every TV show non stop, howling about a stolen election". But what you miss is that the reason the Media would allow them that platform is that the media is largely owned by Republicans.

Because the media is GOP owned, arguments that are absolutely false - like The Lying Swift Boat Veterans - get treated like they're true. Democrats can't do that. Everything we say has to be proven beyond a shadow of a doubt before we can get on those hostile programs. Look what happened to Kerry when he said he'd been quietly told by foreign leaders that they'd rather have him elected than Bush - days of nonstop derision over the "implausibility" of such a comment! (Yes, according to the "liberal" U.S. press, the world loves Bush.)

I'd love to be able to live in a world where this wasn't so, but as a proud member of The Reality Based Community, I have to report to you that politics is utterly slanted against people who stand up against powerful interests. It's just the way the world works.

So unless you have hard irrefutable proof of voter fraud - and by this I mean photos, a confession, and a dozen absolutely unimpeachable witnesses (several Republican and all of them lily-white) - it will do you no good to talk about a "stolen election". After a certain point, this is perceived as whining.

And at this point, I'd rather concentrate on the next election anyway. The "good" news? The GOP is going to f**k up this country so bad, its going to be hard for the the average moron voter to ignore it.

- C.D.

12. better whining than whimpering and asking to be slapped again.
the dem leadership is asleep at the wheel. Are they outmatched? Is the media against them?

well, ok, then, I guess its ok to lay down and die then......except for one thing:

THEY REPRESENT US, AND WE ARE NOT READY TO DIE YET!. so either represent your constituents, or get the hell out of the way!

13. they're getting airtime all right -- making asses of themselves
like Carville smashing a raw in into his face.

What an idiot.

And now on Larry King we've got Hillary Clinton and Arnold together?

This whole thing is one big charade, it's theater, part of the bread-and-circuses we're being fed like children.

We need a real party in this country, we need to take our country back and that STARTS WITH TAKING THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY BACK OR FORMING A NEW ONE.

Here's a photo of the idiot:

8. Not sure of their schedules, but I think today there is
Licking Shrub's boots, licking Cheney's boots, licking Condi's pumps, obedience training school for lapdogs, seminars on how to be more like the GOP, how to say "screw you" to your base," and how to bend over and take it like a prisoner who has dropped the soap.

Tomorrow will include cowtowing practice, more obedience training school, sycophant 101, and how to lose an election by really trying.

I think this came from C-Span but I am not sure.

14. While I may agree with CD on some of his points
........I absolutely demand that our leaders park their butts in front of a camera, even if it is Fox "realty TV news channel". How can the Republicans argue credibly with the loss of all of these votes for some reason or another that have occurred? And that they mostly favored bush? These are reports from "legitimate" local stations and newspapers, who have talked to the people at the election offices around the country. The point is to get people to pressure the republicans, into opening up the computer programs that run the voting machines, to the public.

In case the republicans don't realize it yet, there are a whole lot more hackers in the world who hate bush and his party, than there are hackers who like him. And I believe these are some major computer experts. As we all know here, they are very aware of these machines now.

15. Carville
I just saw that picture of Carville breaking that egg on his face. This is the guy we want to represent us on national tv? I used to like Carville, but now I wish he would just shut up and get off the air. That was the most self-belittling thing I've seen from a "leader" of my party. Thanks Carville, by acting like an ass, you made us look bad with you. We already have an ass for our mascot, we like him better that you. He's cuter and more loyal.

19. Maybe they're not fighting because....
We lost???

If the Democratic leadership truly thought the election was stolen then they would be doing all these things you spoke of.

The fact is the election wasn't stolen, and many Democrats are just in denial of our loss.

We need to get over this election, and work toward 2006 and 2008.

20. tritsofme: Oh yeah?
Then where were "our leaders" in the year 2000, when even the republicans will have to admit, it was a stolen election? They did the same thing, only they kept talking about "Gore should concede, and the nation needs to heal, and we need to concentrate on 2002 and 2004." Well, 2002 and 2004 have come and gone, but I see even more problems than before. What happened to all the people who said we should concentrate on 2002 and 2004? Just what the hell did these people do for us? NOTHING!!!!!

I am not an idiot, and I do believe that after reading extensively about all the abnormalities involved in this election, that I can make a fairly educated guess that this election was stolen. If the general public knew about all of these problems in a detailed and educated news fashion, I don't think they would be brushed off so easily. Our leaders need to become the solution for us and not the problem. They are the ones who will lose their jobs in the next rigged election.

How many times are we going to just sit back, and say well they beat us, so we should move on. We've moved on from 2000 and we just stepped closer to hell.
