Dismembered stuffed toy donkey tied by the neck to the front of a car-- |
|
I saw this today in my blue state town (WA State) and couldn't believe it. Perhaps I am just extra sensitive these days, but I was appalled at the sight of this station wagon with a dismembered toy donkey tied by the neck to the front of the car. It seemed very violent and over the top. I have also noticed a huge increase, suddenly, of bush/cheney stickers on cars, as though the area republicans are coming out of the woodwork, and would only put their stickers on after * "won" his second term.

I've seen the increase of Bush/Cheney stickers in Washington state too. It's like they're trying to form some insecure solidarity, because they know they're not a majority, while trying to prove they are.
What gets me is they try to use it as justification to say, "shut up, you lost, you have no right to speak." When you hear these people say this, they actually act like they believe it. I just chalk it up to their low IQ.

2. I guess violence is a moral and virtuous family value |

This is sick. I, too, have noticed more Bush stickers. I think these wimps are only ballsy enough to put them on their cars once they knew for sure they had stolen the election. Talk about acting like sheep.

I don't think Dems would be such "sore winners" frankly ... and I'm hoping we get the chance soon to prove that. The more I hear about this kind of stuff I can't wait for the "reversal of fortune."

7. Do you live in a red county in a blue state? |
|
Not all counties in any particular blue state went to Kerry. Conversely, not all counties in a red state went to Bush.

I am just across the water (Puget Sound) from the Seattle area. Although there is a lot of military here, Kerry did win by a small margin.

The Kerry/Edwards sticker has been there since Aug. with no problem.
A friend of mine said they have been "emboldened" by the outcome of the election. Emboldened to be the cowardly creeps they always were I guess.
This was supposed to be a response to the original post. My bad.

Our undercurrent of violence and hatred, which is never directly addressed. It might take a huge crisis in this country for us to begin the healing.

HI, first time poster. Been reading since week before election.. So, your from around Jasper... I grew up in Hemphill, but have been living happily in Portland Or, for a few years now.. I have seen an increase of Bush stickers around my son's school!!! Lots of confused parents around there.. My son as been "forbidden" to play with 3 former friends because of my political beliefs.. So sad, he's only 7, and already finding out how cruel some people can be.

26. Doesn't surprise me at all. |
|
My redneck white trash neighbors, whose front yard abuts my back yard, moved their Bush/Cheney sign after the election from the front part of their yard, where it could be seen from the street, to inches from my chainlink fence, where it is clearly for my benefit alone. I am going to have a very hard time being civil with these people from now on.
