I hate the barbaric terrorists who did this. And I hate Bush and Blair who breed terrorists. Fuck them!

1. It's horrible
I couldn't believe they'd kill a woman who was married to a local and engaged in good works for all those years. It couldn't have been Iraqis. I won't let myself believe they did it. It must have been Al Zarqawi.

2. The place is full of...

foriegn fighters who have been allowed(yes, allowed, even by the US) to enter and fight. Hassan's good works would mean nothing to them. They are adventurists drawn by Rumsfeld's "flypaper". Now, she is a convenient symbol to be exploited.

8. Al Zarqawi insisted that whoever had her should let her go...
as bad as al Zarqawi is, apparently murdering Hassan was too much even for him. He issued a statement about a week ago insisting that he did not have Margaret and that whoever did should let her go since he considered her completely blameless.

The mutilated body of the Polish aid worker was also found in Fallujah wrapped in a sheet in the street in, IMS, the Jolon district a few days ago.

3. Mrs Hassan
Could it be that the murderers are actually CIA operatives? After all, Abu Musab al-Zaqawri is said to be dead and his face has not been seen in public.

4. Shhhhh no one's supposed to talk about that
Remember 9/11 etc etc etc.

Plus her killing is on a website "known to be used by Islam radicals". Funny thing, no one has an url.

it still bugs me that Martin Luther King, Jr marched on Washington and gave that boring talk about his dream. Thanks for putting it in perspective.

15. why even bother voting?
I think Sean Hannity is right, and we've been lead astray by the likes of King. Rosa Parks should have gotten up. We should have appreciated Spiro Agnew when he was alive. We won't have the likes of him again ..... well, Dick Cheney is kind of .... but I think we'd all better re-think this democratic monkey business. Get out those Pat Boone albums, boys and girls. Father knows best.

That's why I am so angry.

17. The hope that she would be spared...
had been kept secure until today. It raises a personal alert level just another (big) notch higher, in terms of the near-cellar region of barbarism existent inside Iraq as we talk.

To me, Margaret Hassan was doing some serious bridge-building, exhibiting top-tier courage and great love for her fellow humans for 30 years....creating a day-by-day model formula for healing anywhere there is strife on Earth.

Margaret joins Rachel Corrie and Daniel Pearl in my "champions of a true and just world peace" Hall of Fame, along with so many others throughout history, and yet to come (hopefully soon).
