Any call for ALL to use a very paticular signifier is an unsettling one to me. Also many people may be on your wavelength ideologically, but find that using the flag right-side-up expresses their patriotism (as in defending their country from the monsters that have taken it over) more appropriate, like reclaiming the flag.
