Ed Shultz sucks today. He is actually criticizing the media |
|
for reporting the Marine story. On one hand we scream that the media won't report what is happening in Iraq and when they do we jump them. This is like what we "liberals" did to Rather. When they try to get the story out we slam them .I say Hooray for NBC and Shultz can go Cheney himself. He says being outraged that the Marine shot the Iraqi plays into the GOP hands. Well, everything we do plays into their stereotype of us. So ,what? And he states the military will handle it. Yeah, just like they "handled Abu Garib. Sorry . Wrong is wrong and the tape is proof of wrong. And he thinks the cameraman should have cut off his camera? I think not. We deserve to know what is being done in our name. We pay for it. And one Marine does not mean ALL Marines, but he does reflect badly on us and ALL Americans and it is unpatriotic to let an atrocity slide without calling attention to it. You can't fix a problem you don't know is there. The reporter deserves a Pulitzer not a chastisement from a talk show host!

1. He's doing okay. His callers are actually having a conversation about it |
|
I like how both sides get to air their voices on his show. He always sounds combative at first, but he really pulls in a wide range of calls.

5. When I first turned the radio on, He souned, even vocally, |

just like Limbaugh! Truly. I thought it was a snippet they would refute. He did let other people speak, but clearly his own opinion was RW. And he wasn't just being cobative for the sake of argument. He believes what he was saying.

6. I agree. the similarity with Limbaugh's voice is eery and makes it a bit |
|
hard to listen to.....
He's ok, but a "liberal" in the Dakotas, is clearly going to be centrist --or even right of center.

8. I don't trust him....... |

too much promoting himself for a TV gig. He wants in front of the cameras BAD! He seems to be in it for himself. He was, until recently, a Repuke. Yes, a Repuke. But he says he saw the errors of his way and is now a liberal. Maybe so, but he talks about FOX news quite a bit. Not in a critical way, more like a "this is what Fox says" way. Apparently he has been on some of their shows as OUR side. That gives me a clue right there. You know who Fox chooses to put on to speak for us right?
Anyway, I've not given up on him yet. People who call seem to love him. But I do have my eye on him.

7. I don't think he pooh-poohed the recount effort |

While I disagree personally with his style, what I inferred he was trying to do was to challenge his listeners to do more than just whine about it. He's not totally my style - I like a sort of wry, academic approach to issues - but he works for the part of the country he's in and I can't imagine any other of the left-of-center commentators attracting truck drivers for their audience. I'm certainly not going to dismiss that.
