The candidates need to start engaging each other
Edited on Wed Sep-03-03 02:17 PM by quinnox
This is the start of the primary season, and this is politics, it is time for some real fights to begin. I expect to see some real attacks in these debates coming up, I hope. Time for some excitement in this race! Fire it up, candidates!

Edit: I edited the headline, people were getting the wrong impression of my thread.

1. NO.
They need to talk about their visions for this country and give us an embarassment of riches to choose from. Attacking each other may make it more fun for you, but more busy people with lives will get disgusted and tune out than tune in for another version of "let's you and him fight".

2. Sounds like a Republican trick to...
get people depressed so they won't bother to vote.

3. It isn't a trick
It is a plea, yes, a plea for the candidates to show some passion and get engaged with each other!

11. Sure it was a revolution
But they saved the sharp guillotines for US, not for each other.

4. Divide and conquer
It's exactly what the GOP is hoping for.

6. No they don't
And I'm quite frankly getting a little tired of your repeated attempts to stir shit up. When it comes to "supporting a candidate" you've been a gadfly and more than happy to pour gasoline onto the flamefest of the moment.

8. What does gadfly mean?
I like three different candidates, is that a crime?

9. My criticism is NOT directed at liking more than one candidate
It was directed at your history of stirring the pot in a number of flamefests when you don't seem to have a reason for doing so. This latest post of yours implies to me that you just like to see controversy for its own sake.

gadfly: a person who stimulates or annoys especially by persistent criticism

10. I think it would be better
To be passionate about beating Bush instead of tearing each other down beyond repair. That's SMART politics. Tell Karl I said that next time you chat.

12. Interesting post...
When Howard Dean criticizes his competitors, he gets slammed for it.

I'm going to the debate tomorrow night...I hope it does get exciting!
