ABC news just did a story on the marine shooting |
|
Edited on Tue Nov-16-04 06:46 PM by Minimus
and they quoted a RW website- did not name but picture looked like Free Republic. Quote something like
"the moral of this is when you shoot someone on film then do the camera person too".
ABC also quoted a liberal website- looked like Daily Kos- it was of course a more sane quote.
They were comparing US reaction to Arab reaction and the Arabs interviewed said it was worse than Abu Ghraib.

|
mentioning "Daily Kos" and "Democratic Underground" by name.

3. That was a quote from FreeRepublic |

I read it last night when DU was down. I remembered that one because it was so appalling.

4. When will people in this country realize |
|
that what the rest of the world sees-and thinks-about us is important and meanngful. One aspect of the RW mindset seems to be that their view of the world is the only one that matters, that non-Americans (especially those of different faith/skin color)are expendible and not to be considered. This is very dangerous thinking, as it will lead to a world that is very unsafe for everyone, but especially Americans.

I hope the teevee can explain to me again how "outraged" we should be by the videotaped beheadings?

|
seesm you and I are the minority, or at least we have no voice
Now seriously, think of this... 9.11 happened in NY, and NY went for Kerry
But the country bumpkins and ignoramous of this country who don't even own a passport or have left their county lines are afraid of an attack?
You tell me what is wrong wiht this country

10. But I'm a country bumpkin |
|
I like in rural Arkansas, and I've never had a passport. I'm not afraid of an attack, because I doubt if anyone could even find where I live--and too few people live here to make it worthwhile for terrorists.
Ignorance is our problem, though. Too many people are intellectually lazy. I know people who haven't even tried Indian or Middle Eastern food, and are actually afraid to try!
