Keith Olbermann on unscheduled vacation??
I was listening to the Thom Hartmann show today and his guest was David Cobb (Green Party candidate) pushing for a statewide recount of the vote in Ohio.

Cobb made a statement that Olbermann has been reprimanded for his coverage of the voter fraud in Florida and Ohio and sent on an unscheduled vacation this week.

Cobb claimed that "the mainstream media is trying to manufacture consent around the lie that this election was fair and clean"

Anyone know if Olbermann truly is being punished for being a "journalist"?

According to his blog, this vacation was scheduled a long time ago.

4. Olbermann's blog said that this was a scheduled vacation
I saw mention on Olbermann's blog that this was a scheduled vacation and that he would be back earlier if the situation warranted an earlier return.

9. I swear: I'm on vacation (Keith Olbermann)

SECURE UNDISCLOSED LOCATION—Golly, I’ve never been the subject of a conspiracy theory before.

Yet, there it is, flying around the Internet under the byline of a Peter Coyote: that when I attempted to break the “lock-down” of coverage of the voting irregularities story in the media during Friday night’s edition of Countdown, I was fired, and left the studio in the middle of the program.

... RW mouthpieces seem to be the ONLY people slamming Keith for his coverage. Cobb is -- frankly -- out of control.....AT LEAST ON THIS ISSUE.

8. No, no. Keith himself debunked this. His vacation had been scheduled...
for some time. He even made a gag about running for the exit on his MSNBC program.

Continued with the voter fraud stuff. It wouldn't be uncommon for someone who hadn't been off the air in months to take a vacation.

11. If they are going to be doing re-counts.....isn't the media going to have
to start reporting on this stuff??? How long can they really ignore it???? Do you think they might just be waiting for the big "breaking" story......or do you think they are being told not cover this???? Do you think they could be secretly investigating????

14. Shhhhhh
We don't particularly want them on this story just let. Let's let it get going well first. The media has not been a helpful part of any of this for a long time. Lets use them when we need them, and then wash our hands afterwards.

13. No, no, no, no,
Keith said himself that his vacation had been scheduled since August of this year for this particular week. And trust me, from his prior history with employers, if it weren't so, there would be no way on this Earth he'd ever say something to cover-their-asses for them. If he'd been forced to take a vacation, he'd be screaming it from the top of the Empire State Building. There is no conspiracy here--it's just a vacation.
