Question for business savvy DUers. Why can't we just BUY Diebold?
That is buy the stock. Get a majority stake in the company and fire every goddam Republican, starting with Wally O'Dell?

8. Hmmm, so that's 1.9 million people in for 1000 bucks apiece.
I'd do it, but it'd be a helluva PR job to get some 2 million other people to come along for the ride.

It'd probably be easier to mobilize among THE EXISTING shareholders . . . I hadn't thought of that until just now.

5. If a lot of us buy single shares of stock
we can show up en masse at the next stockholder meeting and raise hell.
This is a tactic some activist friends of mine used while fighting Johnson & Johnson's effort to "redevelop" New Brunswick, NJ back in the 70s. They bought shares of J&J and went to the meeting, and the J&J execs were extremely pissed. Bwa ha ha.
