I have heard of this before but I dismissed it as the babble of a jokester, neither one of these men is a viable candidate on the national scene, both of them are much to Liberal to please the voters in the Red states, both are pro choice, both are for gay unions, pro abortion, I don't believe they would even get the nomination, unless Bush steers the Nation to the left as he appears to be doing right now."

if all the moderate republicans in the primary along with independents and democrats(where they have open primaries) stay united behind one of them.
and if the right wing extremists split their vote between more than one right wing candidate such as sam brownback, rick santorum, bill frist, etc.
