What happens? Does the actual winner of the election take office? OR what if the EC awards the EV (Dec. 13) and the recounts show Kerry is the legitimate winner? What the hell happens then? Will the asshole remain in Kerry's WH until a 4 year court battle to prove fraud is over? Anybody know where this goes? Will "WE THE PEOPLE" have to drag his ass out of Kerry's house? Will this dictator actually step down?

1. Possibly the biggest national crisis since the Civil War

if Bush contests the Electoral College.

4. We know he would contest the EC.
He should get his ass out of the WH until HE proves HIS case. Will he?

2. Why worry about it?
There will be no recount. The people have spoken! This election was stolen, the country *hi-jacked* and 'Muricans sat back and did nothing.

Plus, Gore won in a (fair) FL recount and nothing happened.

Will "WE THE PEOPLE" have to drag his ass out of Kerry's house? I'm right behind ya buddy </sarcasm>
Will this dictator actually step down? nope

... now quit giving yourself an ulcer and a potential for an aneurysm over this. It's history, Kerry is already beginning to return to his Senatorial duties. Work for our future instead. If you are a democrat in Arizona, ask me how to become more politically active to assure our voice is heard in the future.

6. There is no future as long as
we have evoting in this country. I have spent the last 3 years working my ass off. Maxing out on donations to candidates, going to fundraisers, writing letters, going to rallies, and working the phone banks. I HAVE been involved, but unless the evoting hack machines are gone, I'm finished wasting my time, energies and money. It would be futile.

5. States can do anything they want
Selection of the EC is within the state laws. Probably in most states once the count is certified, it is final regardless of later counts.

States can do anything they want with their electors. In 2000, the FL legislature was ready to elect their own set of electors if the Supreme Court ruled in favor of a recount. If they had done that, there would be no legal recourse. The constitution gives the states the authority to select electors, not the people.
