How much longer can we last, |
|
how much longer can the other country's in the world continue to allow us to commit all these crimes and atrocities against for the most part innocent people. Is there ever going to be an end to this. I read DU the local paper and watch the news, its all so sad.

1. It's going to take some time for it to sink in |

I think the rest of the world is still in shock to what we are doing, in the end though I think a massive anti-America movement will rise up against this country like never before. I'm not sure how long we can sustain our standard of living under such pressure & constant warfare, or if this country will even stay afloat. The only thing that can save us is if we give up the hard-line approach.

2. As long as Bush chooses--it's the will of the people! |
|
Oh, and he's spending his political capital. And he has a mandate.
And oh, by the way:
War is peace Freedom is slavery Ignorance is strength.
1984 is here.
Yes, it's terribly, heart-wrenchingly sad. We can keep working hard to change it, and maybe some day the other counties in the world will step up to the plate and join us to help put an end to this madness. Before it's too late for all of us. Let us strive toward that end!

3. America is going to implode, soon. |
|
And it will be a combination of the drain of this war, and Wal Mart (saw the Frontline show on Wal Mart last night). I wish it were because most Americans had a conscience, but that doesn't appear to be the case.
I don't know what to do. I'm as outraged as all of you here, but I don't know what to do! I want to plaster pictures of the bloody carnage all over this city so people will see what they are supporting.
I'm boycotting war profiteers, but hell, I've been boycotting Wal Mart for years and they're not hurting. On the bright side, I've gotten one other person so disgusted with them she will not shop there.
What do we do about this despicable, gross miscarriage of justice of a war? How do we send a message that we will not tolerate this being done in our name?

5. The war will end when enough bodybags come home |
|
and the average American has to reach for his wallet to pay for it.
As Tip O'Neill said, "All politics is local". After enough cannon fodder has bled, and Joe Sixpack discovers his job is gone and he can't afford cable sports, they will demand that the war end. Not because of altruistic feeling against the bloodshed but out of sheer self-interest.
That, and the obvious fact that the war is lost.

6. And the saddest part is the war was lost before it was started. |
