Now taking calls.

1. I love it! He's explaining to a Bush**bot

what separation of church and state is all about and the solemnity of the oath he takes to uphold the Constitution -- and why it's unfortunate that some Catholic bishops have said certain politicians should be barred from Communion because of their commitlment to separation of church and state. Leahy is one of our great Catholic Democrats in Congress. . . Now talking about importance of dissent in a democracy.

Thanks for posting about Leahy being on WJ, I clicked it on right away.

What did he say about Gonzales before I tuned in?

2. OK to be a friend of *, but there must be "separation"
He seems uncomfortable with Gonzalez acting as *'s personal lawyer.

Me too.

3. Yes, Bush* is too close to Gonzalez and Rice,

and both are too eager to operate as his echo chamber.

Interesting when the guy called in and said he'd always been a Republican but Leahy is his favorite senator.
