Definition of conspiracy theorists
Edited on Wed Nov-17-04 12:17 PM by donhakman

It seems when any Republican lie is confronted, the response that drips from their sneer is "conspiracy theory".

Literal definitions of conspiracy include "to breathe together".

Theory = "best accepted viewpoint at this time after observation of repeated scientific experiments reaching the same result."

When every fact is simply countered with an insult virtually accusing one of mental illness, I believe there is no room left for civil discourse.

Now that we are poised for a tactical nuclear war and the citizens of the US are being conditioned with Orwellian re definitions of atom bombs as bunker busters, the time for dialog and civil discourse has ended.

It is reasonable to assume that right wing think tanks expect and predict a revolution of some kind in protest of the ever expanding and escalating war.

Without the aid of a reliable vote or voice in unilateral PNAC decisions, our strategy should include an intelligent use of political judo against a fascist opponent.

The old adage that things will not change at a dangerous interesction until after someone is killed, no longer applies.

The intersection we are all standing on is the crossroads of nuclear war.

I think we can agree, a thermonuclear weapon is not a conspiracy but it is based upon the theory of relativity.

1. very true
"Conspiracy theory" means nothing now but character assassination intended to shame people into silence and stifle genuine investigative journalism.

I posted some thoughts about this on my blog a few months ago that may interest you, entitled "Magic Bullshit Theory": http://rigorousintuition.blogspot.com/2004/08/magic-bullshit-theory.html
