16. NYT is very right wing. Read it on line for free.
Get one of the west coast papers instead, The San Francisco Chronicle or the Los Angeles Times. Both have a lot of content and try to show both sides in their editorial content.

24. NYT is a propaganda rag, you ever heard of Judith Miller?
They have a phoney liberal facade but in reality they are
an outlet for elitist propaganda. The liberal facade just
makes it all palatable to the wanna-be intelligensia.

Contribute to their ratings which means more money for them. Why would I want to watch that shit...To get frustrated, you ALL know it's all lies and censored news, so why do you keep watching?

Man, what kind of idiot keeps watching when they know it's ALL lies and bullshit?????

11. At a Motel 6. They had Fox turned off!
Motel 6 is owned by a French company. I guess they don't understand that CNN is as bad as Fox.

On the channel that was supposed to be Fox they had a freeze-frame of Ron Popiel with his mouth open.

18. Interesting how the divide just gets bigger.
CNN is consider the Commie News Network by the rightwing and you guys think its way to the right.

I'm a fairly liberal (actually socially-liberal and fiscally conservative) Canadian and I happen to think that CNN seems fairly balanced to me. Extreme left and right-wing media sources will just make matters worse.

The further left you guys drift, the less chance you'll ever have a political voice in America. Election reform is very unlikely in your current two-party system.

Sadly, the future for America looks very bleak. To make matters worse, my American wife wants me to consider moving to your country.

28. I, too, am a moderate Canadian, albeit less moderate than you I
suspect as the term moderate can mean leaning faux Conservative/Alliance, and I find CNN very unbalanced since the sale of CNN to AOL who subsequently was sold to Time-Warner. It no longer reports the news, it breathlessly reports the rumours and tries to make them news. It is a very sad downfall for a network that, in it's original format, was, indeed, a balanced news network.

I have not turned on CNN since their orgasmic coverage of 'shock and awe' coverage with the rare exception, maybe 3 times since. I have now sworn off it completely regardless of the latest 'breaking faux news'.

38. Trash news is a sign of the times
It's a reflection of the people and the networks want ratings. Sadly, the competition with other cable news channels, especially Fox News, has brought on these changes.

Unlike like FNC, I don't see CNN having a particular ideology. If anything, it's still seems to lean towards the democrats in most ways. I know there are exceptions, but all in all, it's fairly typical mainstream media.

If the repugs think CNN is communist, it must be fairly moderate. CNN will never be as far left as CBC, but in the American political spectrum it's relatively liberal.

I get my news from Amy Goodman on Democracy Now (www.democracnow.org), Indymedia, Sirius Satellite Radio (BBC World News), Canadian Broadcasting Corp., and scouring the net. I wouldn't listen to the CNN tripe they call news if you paid me.

37. Why would we watch CNN
when they skew every bit of news to favor the * administration?

Some call it lying, some call it marketing, some call it right-wing propaganda. It's so well done, obviously, that there are still people who think it's a rational news source.

But everything they do is manipulated to support the radical right wing, from their coverage (or lack of it) of the war and the economy, to their coverage of the elections.

I channel clicked over to see what they were up to during the Dem Convention, and there were all the talking heads, blah blah blahing right wing nonsense while the great Dem speakers were barely heard in the dim background. Al Sharpton's speech? Jennings goes, "...whatever it was you were riffing about..."

Any progressive they have on is usually a weak speaker, and shrunken down smaller in the window or otherwise made to look wierd, like when they would show Dean, but close up on his head so he looked like big monster head. They'd show titles that were negative to Kerry next to Kerry news.

Every bit of bad news from the economy onward, they tell you then spin it with but .blah blah blah. Unemployment numbers are up but it's because more people are encouraged to look for work because there were hurricanes.

I do have to listen to the CNN news feed on my Air America Radio station sometimes (unavoidable, argh!) How many times have I heard them play over and over: Clinton saying it was the gay issue that caused Kerry to lose. You are getting sleeeeeepppppppyyyyyy, it was the gay issue it was the gay issue.
If they report any truth at all, how would anyone know? They've totally lost their credibility. Those who still watch and think they are fair and balanced (ha ha), are suffering from "group think."

Take a few weeks-- STEP AWAY from tv news (except Jon Stewart, CSPAN, and Bill Moyers), it twists the mind and clouds rational thinking processes.
