Subject: Reject the illegal deportations!
I am writing to urge that objections be raised about the deportation orders for Andrew Muncie of Inverness-shire in Scotland and Andreas Koninek of Stockholm, as well as about the illegal destruction of the Abu Salim family home in the Balata refugee camp by the Israeli Defense Forces.
The destruction of this home is a clear violation of the much-lauded Road Map agreement. Further, these two internationals, both peaceful activists, were at the home by invitation and did not do anything that justifies their forced removal from the home. It appears to me that they were removed to facilitate the heartless destruction of the family's home, with no consideration as to why these two people were willing to take the step of chaining themselves inside the home. That these two peace activists would risk their lives doing so illustrates the desperate nature of life in the Occupied Territories.
We must speak out strongly against the illegal occupation of Palestine and the reprehensible crimes against the Palestinian people. While there are extremists who wrongly kill innocent Israelis, this does not justify the systemic destruction of an entire people. Please make this a priority issue, for the sake of peace and justice for all concerned.
Very sincerely,
Matthew

Re your e-mail.
From its renewed independence in 1948, Israel went through 6 wars with the Arabs and in between daily attacks by terrorists from the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, It means that Israel, a small democratic country placed among an ocean of Arab countries, has never had a quiet day. Thousands of citizens, children, women and men, going to school or to work or sitting in restaurants or buses were killed by Arab terrorists for whom human life has no value.
I do not remember that the ISM sent its "peace activists" to defend Israeli citizens then.
What we do know is that the ISM is a Palestinian lead organisation who suceeded in recruiting naive Europeans who maybe do not know anything about Jewish or Arab history and maybe some of them are pure anti Semites.
I would like to remind you that between 1948 - 1967 there was no occupation or settlements and the Arabs did not want to create a Palestinian state as long as Israel existed.
n.b. Try to have a more practical sense of humour than A.Nonymous. It is really ridiculous.
Feel free to circulate this reply to your ISM colleagues.

HEMSIDA: http://stockholm.mfa.gov.ilThank you for waiting to reply until after the decision to deport the two men has already been made. Your dedication to professionalism, and your courage, is so very reassuring.
"No occupation between 1948 - 1967". That's an odd statement, considering the creation of the state of Israel after World War II involved occupying land that did not belong to the Israeli people in the first place. That blatant lack of regard for history is rather "ridiculous", as is the ever-present charge of anti-Semitism. After all, Israelis are not the only Semites. Perhaps you should consider attending a night class to strengthen your historical knowledge?
I wish for peace for both Israelis and Palestinians. Attitudes like yours, however, are an obstacle toward achieving that goal. The arrogance shown in your response certainly does not bode well for an ambassador.
