let me ask you a very serious question |
|
HOW THE HELL DO YOU INTEND TO STOP THIS AS A MINORITY PARTY...
On principle I agree, it SHOULD REMAIN on the books... in reality it won't remain on the books. And you know what? LET the PUKES carry their horrid agenda, we can't stop it, truly. This is what the little people may need to WAKE THE FUCK UP what they voted for

20. The same way women have been handling issues |
|
important to them as a minority since time imemorial, one male at a time. No party instituted this law, women, the political minority then as now, have done it.
Women do not need a political party to accomplish what they need or want.

9. And finally, genitals themselves |
|
Will only be allowed for government mandated reproduction. After offending act takes place, all genitals must be returned to the U.S. Government Repro Warehouse.

Once they smell blood in the water, that's it. They are driven by power over others.
They would gladly destroy this country to have their way with it.

This evangelical vote is just a neo-fascist movement. The country sinks into recession, or whatever you like, and a depoliticized part of the population can be whipped up into thinking it's someone else's fault: "who are the bad guys?", and they can be jews, or Indians, or blacks, or communists, or homosexuals, or terrorists (propagandists determine what that is), etc. Whip freepers up into irrational frenzies and you basically have American history.

They will ALWAYS want more. Give them this issue, and they'll reach for something even more extreme. The new skirmish line will be moved even further back. No thanks.
Those people want a theocracy.

21. Yes but teh senate or the house is NOT where you |
|
will stop them...
Boycotts, civil disobedience, and other things
THINK BOSTON TEA PARTY
THINK How the colonists first USED the economy against the brits
Think how the vote for women was achieved
IT was NOT in Congress... it was in the streets
There is where we need to go back again
Next time you go to the store, THINK what difference you can make with YOUR choices of what you buy
Next time you think of buyung an expensive gift, THINK, 70% of our economy is based on COMSUMPTION
When you buy a car THINK what you decide to buy will make a change (Incidentally we love our Hybrid)
THINK and give up on the Hill... we don't have the power to do jack or shit there right now

Hell, they'd do it today if they could get away with it.,....

19. Wrong, Randi. These people thrive on feeling like they're under siege... |
|
By some deluded notion of a liberal conspiracy. Take away Roe v. Wade, and I guarantee you that they will be on to another issue in a heartbeat.
They will **never** be content just living and letting live. They have to have an enemy, a devil, a scapegoat.
They need to be stopped **NOW**, before it's too late.

23. Well, even if they overturn RvW... |
|
...it's still up to the states to criminalize it. We will, at least be able to prevent that from happening everywhere.
Although... with RvW also goes a lot of our Constitutional right to privacy. I'd be curious to see if Griswald survives it.

24. Roe vs Wade is a red herring |
|
These social wedge issues are merely the dressing; the meat the Repugs really want is to limit Congress's power to regulate...anything.
They clearly want to repeal most if not all of the New Deal legislation and the court's interpretation of congressional power.
OSHA? Say bye. EPA? Gone. Child labor laws? Repealed.
They know they can't just up and write legislation outlawing these things - too politically risky. So, they deal with stealth legislation while showing the public theater of the absurd.
Fasten your seat belts (which may be outlawed anyway).
